Although this is one of the best hotels in Cairo, with a great view and a beautiful atmosphere, it has one of the worst if not the worst front desk, reception, customer service experience I have ever had. I was checking in on a Sunday for a wedding into a premium room for two nights 24th September 2017 until 27th and literally took me an hour to be able to pay! To begin with a day before we were checking in, we called the hotel to reserve and no one was answering the phone! Then when we called again and again we were told that reservation people left! What kind of a 5 star hotel doesn't have people around the clock to take reservations. Then the moment I went in to check in, I offered my credit card without chip to hold the payment for the room and they wouldn't use it without a chip! So I said fine, take my debit card, which for some odd reason could work with their machine either even with the chip. Then I called the bank and my bank didn't even show the transaction so it as clear that it was their problem not mine and I was running late to my hair and make up appointment for the wedding I was attending so I was already trying to tell them please solve it cuz I need to get going. Took an hour! Seriously the worst checking in experience I have had! It seemed also as I was talking with people that I wasn't the only one, three other families that were here for the wedding checking in had similar issues including the bride, her mom and groom's mom! The front desk need professional training!
