We had a bad experience at this location. Hotel room wasn’t clean, dirty sheets, stinky mattresses with blood spots. Furnitures are dirty and very old.
Electricity plugs need to be clean. They have plastic chairs for the balcony.
The water stopped running in bathroom 3hours every day for 3 days. The bathroom floor was wet all the time.

I forgot my kids' swimsuit in the bath yesterday after showering (beach) my dad went there today he asked the lady in the bath she said ask the security, the security said we don't have anything! It's 2 obvious swimsuits!

Please don't be fooled by all the 5 stars reviews! they are fake! This is not a 5 star hotel! I am sorry I can't buy it. Serve compared to a 2 stars, food 3 stars, rooms 3 stars, location 5 stars. The only good thing here is the location! My wife wedding ring got stolen and I made a big scene and magically they appeared after I did that!

Nice hotel with special location. Rooms are clean, spacious. Amazing restaurant with panoramic sea views, delicious food. Friendly staff. Recommended for family vacations.

Nice place, friendly staff, surrounded with all needed facilities. Little bit expensive. You should take extra mineral water. They have private beach but minutes away from the hotel.

Great view and location, good food, friendly staff, rooms need maintenance and better cleaning, No interesting activities, small pool, beach has sea plants, check-in was not smooth despite online booking.

More than amazing hotel. With high trained staff handle everything in very limited time. But at some times orders may be late but they handle all issues with polite word and perfect smile from all team.

This is a 5 star hotel owned by the egyptian armed forces. It recently underwent massive renovation and the addition of a very classy banquet hall which is suitable for weddings, business meetings, conferences and others. The restaurant "bata hanem" offers great Egyptian and middle eastern food for pretty reasonable prices. The hotel has a great view of the Mediterranean sea from anywhere inside the hotel. Also room rates are affordable.

My wedding was at Tolip four months ago and choosing this place was the best decision we made throughout the whole wedding planning process. Everything was perfect, from the organization, to the DJ, to food. The wedding hall was extremely spacious and elegant. I was 100% satisfied with everything about my day. As a part of our wedding package, we also got a 2-night complimentary stay in a sea-view suite, which was the perfect way to enjoy the hotel before going on our honeymoon. A special thank you to Ms. Reem Mostafa for arranging everything from A-Z. Overall, this is one of the best if not the best hotel in Alexandria, and I would definitely recommend it to any bride who wants her special day to be flawless or anyone wanting to enjoy Alexandria while staying at a high quality, top-notch hotel with amazing views and lots of amenities.

Nothing's going to.
This is the worst hotel I have visited for work.
— Ultra slow and poorly designed elevator — pool with no sun and no view — 50% English speaking team unable to find out about the location of the spa (between elevators and bad indications I passed 30 ' without success on the subject this morning before to give up).
— View horrible parking or sea view Super noisy (a 2x6 way passes along the sea! )
— Pretty dirty — Italian restaurant horrible: We wait half an hour for his overcooked pasta.
In short, courage if you finally decide to come!

Pleasant experience. This was my first time in Tolip and I have to say that everything was more than good. Staff is friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast was good as well. Location was convinient.

I didn't stay there but visited a friend, the room is good and the view is beyond beautiful. It has a medium sized swimming pool, and a great open air restaurant on the roof of the pool. We enjoyed there.

Rooms are very outdated, room cleanliness needs significant improvement.
Poor facilities for kids & teenagers (kids club has limited activities with little interaction from the supervisor). Many activities are an additional cost on top of the daily entry fee.
Not recommend for families!

Commanding view of the Mediterranean, spacious rooms and public lounges, good value for money and excellent buffet breakfast are amongst the reasons for recommending this hotel.

Very nice hotel, clean and service is very good. View also is very good, It's recommended if you are planning to visit the hotel to choose a sea view room, Don't go for the town view as the view will be a very old buildings. Last recommendation is to book your visit with breakfast only, don't waste Alex restaurant while eating in the hotel.

Nice location but definitely not a five star hotel, needs some improvements when it comes to room decor and finish. Restaurant is very very crowded but lots of variety available though. Staff don't answer phone calls easily and they need to work on their attitude also.

Nice hotel for short stay. The staff are friendly, the rooms are nice with good breakfast. Direct sea view!

It's for sure on the best in Alexandria, but I wouldn't give it 5 stars rating due to slow service, it will take them at least 5 minutes to answer your call, and if you go down to reception it will take even longer. It's a big building with plenty of rooms and only served by 4 main elevators, it might take you about 15 minutes just to go down, personally stair were always a better option even that I was staying at the 6th floor. The view if you take a sea view room is amazing.

موقع رائع و تجهيز جيد و لكن التعامل مع النزيل جاف و غير مرحب، الكافيهات و المطاعم المفتوحة في الهواء الطلق مؤجرة لشركات و مطاعم و متاحة للزبائن الخارجيين فقط و يسمح للنزيل فقط بالأماكن الداخلية المغلقة المزدحمة و خاصةً أن الجلوس في منطقة حمام السباحة أيضاً ممنوع مساءً. و إذا أراد أن يتمتع بالبانوراما الرائعة عليه أن يطلب وجبات أو مشروبات لا يحتاجها حتى و إن كان تناول طعامه و يرغب مثلاً في الجلوس في التراس المطل على البحر ليتمتع لبعض الوقت بالمنظر الجميل و الهواء الطلق.

Good location, rooms amenities needs improvement as the quality is not good. People are smoking in the restaurant and there is " no smoking " place. Elevator is always busy and it takes very long time for waiting. There is no elevator to go down for the parking. Breakfast was nice and there are many varieties.

Great Hotel better than known chains, hospitality is more than great and very clean, great open buffet breakfast. Friendly atmosphere.

Sea view rooms are great, but partial sea view aren't so great, you need to be in the balcony to see anything. The hotel is good.

Frankly I am surprised that this hotel is classified as a 5 stars hotel. Design, accessability, cleanliness and comfort are not a priority there. I doubt being there one more time.

Location is one of the best in Alexandria… Especially seafront rooms. Spacious rooms, but service needs more attention, sometimes.

I just love the furniture and the rooms, all family rooms. They are lovely. I have visited the jazz bar, good service.

Some rooms have a great sea view, average room size, crew were helpful. A nice place to stay your summer holiday.

Great for short vacation, well furnished, the stuff well trained, clean rooms. BUT The beach is little fare, the hotel has a little old bus without air condition. The half board stay not good because there is no open buffet, you should go to any outlets and you only have 200 Egp for person and it's not suitable to the menu. The room is clean and well furnished but u cant open the curtains because all the rooms see each other during ur vacation if any important person come. To the hotel you will be lucky if you can take ur breath they close the hotel and also the elevator, and no one go out or in during a visit. Poor outlets.

One of the EGYPTIAN ARMY FORCES finest hotels, sea view is magnificent day and night. Rooms are very elegant and clean also equipped with every thing you ever expect in a luxury hotel. Specialy bathrooms. Food are well done cooked and served, from traditional and local to international meals there have seven restaurants to choose from. This is a place to run to when you head to Alexandria next time.

The place is nice but for what you pay you should expect bitter service and cleaner rooms. I recommend it for short vacations…

Very good location, nice sea view, parking is not for free, service is not bad, breakfast is good, rooms are clean but very small. Elevator always crowded they should increase the number of elevators.

Great location, great views. Hosts were are friendly. Service is more than good, despite the hotel being fully booked. Room furniture was better than average, just needs a little bit of maintenance. Overall I highly recommend the hotel.

A beautiful hotel, good service, we spent 7 nights from the 21st. Until October 28th in Egypt security, setting up pictures of a balcony room at the hotel, and do not forget to visit… JAAZ Café & Bar, there with Mr. Makrem & Piter and Ahmad, super Team!

I stayed there 4 nights last year and it was amazing hotel and wonderful staff … l hope to go this year but I can't find reservation.

Breakfast is amazing, rooms are clean. The beach ia far away from the hotel, you have to go to it by shuttle bus.

One of the most comfortable places. All staff members are extremely helpful with a charming smile. Cleanliness, location service, a big variety of tasty breakfast buffet. Would like to thank Ms. Fabiola Zaki who saved no effort to make our stay excuisit comfortable.

Stayed here 4 nights im satisfied with what I got for the money which I paid. The staff is really extra nice and friendly specially the housekeeping and in the restaurant. I got room with sea view, it's nice view but it's also very noisy outside. The Beach is about 15 min drive, it was ok but the water was very dirty. The hotel is NOT 5 stars it's 3 or maximum 4 stars.

The swimming pool and the parking is very very small. If they only made a big swimming pool and parking the hotel will be good.

I was reading the reviews, and would like to add my review. Toilet very bad, dirty, and cannot be Toilet in 5 star Hotel. Bedroom is ok. No heating system! Service is not a 5 star. I wouldn't recommend it to someone who wants to enjoy his time in Alexandria.

I have a very bad experience as they organize an indoor party and most of the attendees were smokers while they did not allocate anyzone for non smokers and they allowed to smoke SHISHA INDOOR!

I'm having the worst experience in trying to reach the reservations team to change an item in my booking. They're only either busy all the time or not answering at all.

Clean rooms, breakfast meal is fantastic. Parking daily against 40 EGG.

Stayed on January 2016 (winter). The family room for 4 was spacious wt a private room for parents/couple inside. The room was nice but the housekeeping keep giving 3 sets of tower for a room of 4 guests. No Wi-Fi in room, only available in the lobby. The location was great tho near to Stanley bridge. A bunch of restaurants, fast food chains n coffee house just a walking distance from the hotel. They closed the pool area on my stay n there's seem like a renovation ongoing.

The location is good. Hotel is clean. But service and staff are very bad. Pool is small, cold and noisy. I will not stay their again and don't advise any one to do.

Very good but pool is very small, music are loud and you can hear it from room at night, the rooms are clean but it depends on the room service staff.

Freezing cold. All the staff were wearing outdoor clothes. The general manager was in his topcoat at his desk. His PA said "what do you expect in Alexandria in January? " Somebody please turn the heating on.
