This is a good place to stay as guest, but you should know that they use volunteers to work more than 8 hours a day with the promisse of payment and the finally dont pay… A minimum in Ecuador es almost 400 USD… I have been there more than 30 days working, I had to fight to get paid and I finally got 62, 5 USD… Please, support fair deals snd no slavery.

Excellent service total relaxation the rooms completely clean the access a little complicated because my car did not go up because that day had rained and skated, I loved the super breakfast from the top you can see the city the view is beautiful.

This hostal is a very nice place to stay while you visit Baños. It is located high above the city on the beautiful Rio Pastaza. The Wi-Fi is sometimes sporadic as is the whole city. Breakfast can be included and is very good. The kitchen/restaurant is available for your use. There is a nice trail on the property which continues on up to the mountain top to the Antennas and then west and down to San Martin. It took me 1 hour 20 minutes to get to the antenna and then 1 hour 40 minutes to get down. In San Martin take the blue urban bus back to town for $0.30. Owners Washington and Jenny are there to please. Son, Jose and daughter, Maria too.

Came to Banos with 2 families with kids and loved the relative remoteness and great hospitality of owners. Meals and coffee were well made with good portion sizes. Would have loved to have a camp fire outside my door with the city view below and the mountains behind but never had a chance.

Beautiful serene place and lovely service. Worth a visit on the way up out down from the viewing point.
