We loved this Hotel AFter a 8 hour delay in Lima it was an oasis. Clean friendly great breakfast we booked 2 more night on way back ftom Galapagos.

Place looks nice but is located right by all the bars and clubs. Ear plugs are a must in this hotel due to the music, traffic, and paper thin walls. Was charged an extra $25 plus tax for a guest. For the cost you can find better.

This was my experience with my wife when I got to Quito.
I reserve by Booquing and sent several emails to the hotel to confirm me, they finally think of answering and confirm the reservation. Then I ask if I can send a taxi to the airport and I say they do not have this service that has to be with the Hotel transfer costing $36:00 per person, when the taxi the 4 people the official price is $25:00.
We arrived with our taxi to the hotel with the exhaustion of 12 hours flight, they hold us for a half hour at reception we charge the 3 nights, they tell us they have no rooms available and they send us to another hotel. With this was not enough, before the second night just before bedtime we were told that we have to move or else they charge US $80:00 of difference.
Unheard of having traveled halfway around the world we had never experienced such experience. Our fear was for taxis or insecurity on the streets but the extortion was at this Hotel. Our purpose was to reach an agreement calling the police or to return the money from the 2 nights and we were leaving and finally agreed but it took us a night not to sleep.

It is a nice place but they climbed in the 2017 the prices of Christmas and New Year's Eve without taking into account the competition that offered better or cheaper.

DOV:09-11June2014 We have chosen this hotel for two day training program for the client. The location is good, conference room was excellent, food was good and cordial staffs. All were really impressed. However pricing was bit high!

It is a nice hotel, near the tourist places. The atmosphere is nice. The Wi-Fi does not work properly, but in general a great atmosphere and good food and service.

For my first visit to Quito, I could not have been more impressed with the rooms and the service at the Hotel Rio Amazonas. We were lucky enough to stay on floor 11 and in a corner room as we had the BEST view! I would recommend that you try your best to do the same. The neighborhood La Mirascal is just a couple minutes walk away. Have a meal at Mama Clorindo's for wonderful traditional food. If you are looking for a true pub, go to The Corner Pub just a 2 min walk away. If Oscar is working you will be in great hands. Such a wonderful example of a truly gracious Ecuadorano. See if the owner Tony is there for a chat as well.

The worst thing is the breakfast.

A fantastic hotel with a delightful and super helpful staff. We carried out a regional event there in December 2015 and it was a great experience from the initial coordination to the actual event date. Katya and her team were simply superb!

Had a very pleasant stay. The rooms were very nice and remodeled. Amazing views. It could be a little noisy at night, specially weekend nights. Good location and food.

Horrible. Staff incapable and unfriendly. Rooms dated (except the top 2 floors). They messed up our reservation (reserved 3 nights instead of 4), and to compensate, they made reservations in a cheaper hotel a few blocks away, but charged us their price.
