Good location and center location of quito.

This is the second time I've been here. The first time was last year and I was here only with my wife this time around we brought our two little girls. The people here have been really nice both times the beds are comfortable the bathrooms are ok hot water could be better you get those electrict shower heads but everything is very clean. Free internet and breakfast. The prices are right and if you feel like bargaining you can get a discount. If you need a place to crash and leave your stuff while you go around this is a good option. Both times have been good experiences I hope you have a good one too.

I would strongly advise anyone from staying here. I stayed in this hostal on July 3rd, 2011 with a friend. The night that I checked in, the worker informed us that the cost would be $13 USD for both my friend and I, including breakfast. I paid the young long-haired man the $13.00 immediately. It was late and I did not think to ask for a receipt. The next morning the new shift worker at the desk stopped us from leaving, telling us that we had to pay. We informed him that we paid, however he had no record of it. Next, he brought in the owners of the hostal who found no money and no record that we paid. They did not believe us that we paid and they attempted to call the employee from the night before, but they never got ahold of him. In addition, we purchased 2 beers and 2 bottles of water the night before, which I paid cash for. The written record showed that we only supposedly purchased 1 beer and 1 bottle of water. Obviously, the kid working the night before pocketed the cash I gave him, stealing from his boss. Once again, the hostal owners did not believe me and told me I only bought 1 beer, despite the fact that I showed them 2 empty beer bottles. In the end, they would not let us leave until we paid $30, the normal nightly price, and they would not acknowledge the fact that I paid the $13 the night before. I recommend instead, the Galapagos Hostal, in the same neighborhood, which is run by a sweet and caring family, very trustworthy.
