This man! I left my phone in the taxi this morning and our boat back to Santa Cruz was leaving… he got my phone back, took this photo 😂 and got my phone delivered to me 10 seconds before the boat left! Thank you Jose! Anyone coming to San Cristobal should definitely stay at Casa Playa Mann, really nice family run hotel.
Jose and his family provide the best of everything in this little gem — you feel like a local as he and his family grew up here & have run this place from the beginning — they know all the best tips and truly try to understand what you are looking for when they give you tips. Their food is yummy and really local. And the hotel itself is charming, with amazing hammocks in the Ocean view rooms — I could have stayed there forever! The location is perfect, close to town but also a bit more private. Being right by Mann Beach is so special too — a little local hangout place where sea lions steal your flip flops & you can get the most amazing ceviche right on the beach. Walk to Darwin center to learn the history of the Galapagos is a 10 minute walk, with wonderful look outs. I can't say enough good things about this place. Jose was so welcoming (and is an Amazing photographer! Wish he sold his pieces you find all over the hotel). The hotel is clean, comfortable and is local — not those chrome fake hotels that have no character. I 100% reco you stay here on your visit to the Galapagos!
