➜ Very nice different and interesting.
My only regret is that I didn't find this place sooner as I would have loved to stay for more than one night. Definitely a great choice if you want a couple of days to acclimate at the start of your time in Ecuador or to recharge before you go home. Stunning rooms and grounds, outstanding service. Really just an amazing place. Took my daughter on the trails to feed the llamas and see all the beautiful birds. Loved it.

Our two day Hacienda La Jimenita included walking the extensive trails, watching birds, taking meals at the Hacienda restaurant. The trails include views of a steep canyon, and follow an old aqueduct. The property contains a very interesting archaeological tunnel/cellar that we explored. I suggest bringing a headlamp for the tunnel. A bird-watcher's paradise, there are numerous feeding stations for hummingbirds and tanagers around the property. Our room was comfortable and nicely decorated. The Hacienda includes excellent breakfast with brewed coffee, fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, cereal and bread. We also ate dinner, which was delicious. The staff speaks English and they provided us affordable transportation to the airport. We would certainly come back.
