Beware booking this hotel over a weekend. Each night we stayed here they had large groups celebrating in the dining room, which is adjacent to the lobby and to the central stairwell, which is open to all the rooms.
To say the noise carries would be an understatement. Our second morning here the staff tried to pressure us not once but twice into accepting a move into a lesser quality room than we had booked and prepaid for weeks earlier. The reason is they had over booked the hotel. No compensation was even offered.
Also as a result of these group events, we had to have our breakfast at a small table set up in the lobby one morning, with no access to the buffet breakfast. The server was apologetic and expressed our dissatisfaction to the chef, who made a point of apologizing to us in the dining room the following morning.
Management not only failed to apologize for any of these dissatisfiers, but seemed to actively avoid us for the remainder of our stay.
At least the rooms were very nice and the hotel is in a great location.
