El Andariego Hostel

I highly recommend it. A good place to stay. Clean, central. A nice place.

I spent four days very pleasant, the welcome is warm and attentive to your needs. Everything is perfectly maintained, clean and bright. The hotel is very well located in the centre of the city, its shops and its famous market. In 10 minutes you reach the bus terminal. I recommend.

Pros: Big, beautiful bedroom. Cosy beds. Very clean. Kitchen for guest use. Friendly staff. Good location (close to market). Cons: Only one toilet/shower for girls and one for boys — in one room so if you need the loo but someone's having a shower, you have to wait. Toilets don't have floor to ceiling door so no matter which room of the Hostal you're in, you can hear people on the toilet.

A very quaint hostel supportive to the red cross. The building is quite old. However the hostal is rather modern and comfortable. My girlfriend and I spent our first night in Otavalo here. Located just a short walk from Plaza de Ponchos. There are many places to eat nearby.

Great hotel, clean, hot shower, super kitchen, and the people are super nice. I recommend.

Nice big rooms in a really convenient location in the centre of town. All rooms open from the entrance hall/dining area so can be a little noisy in the mornings, but quiet in the evenings. Friendly owner.

Staff is extremely friendly, we had a great time staying here. This is our go-to place if we ever come back to Otavalo.

If you are in otavalo you should stay at this hostel! It is in the centre, the rooms are so clean and spacious and very nice hot showers! But one point to mention at the most important is Marcello who works there! He is so nice, friendly, heartily and attemptive you will not miss anything you need! Thank you so much for making out stay so comfortable! Highly recommended!

I haven't been to hostel cleaner than this one. It's all spotless, you didn't just get out of the shower when you're already cleaning. The kitchen is pristine and very well equipped. Spacious rooms, comfy beds and large lockers. The only downside is that you hear a lot of street noise, but it makes up for the comfort and friendliness of the staff that helps you to anything you need.

One of the cleanest hostel I've ever seen. Rooms and bathrooms are nice and comfortable, the showers are perfect. Very good kitchen as well and a big common table to eat together with the others backpackers. Staff very nice and helpful.

Lovely hostel. Clean, safe and very friendly staff. In the centre of town, close to the market and some nice restaurants. Perfect for spending a night or two in Otavalo.

Amazing hostel… One of the best hostels we have stayed in.
The room was immaculately cleaned, colourfully designed, spacious room.
There are lots of nice touches in the room. Full length mirrors, even TV and DVD. A nice touch but not necessary.
The staff/owner are lovely and treat you more like a friend or family member.
A two minute walk from Plaza de los Ponchos and 5-10 minute from the main bus terminal for Quito.
