This lodge is amazing, the rooms (both types the suites and the regular ones) are great! Super comfortable, lots of space and there was cleaning service everyday. The food is amazing, lots of food everyday, the cocktails and wine were also really good and what is worth highlighting is the staff! Every single staff member was great! The tours arranged were incredible we got to see lots of animals and be in the boats during all times of the day which gave us amazing experiences. We were a huge group and they made sure we had the best time. Whenever I go to Cuyabeno again I will for sure come here again. 🙌

The overall experience was amazing. The lodge was comfortable and nice. I will say some rooms are better than others but everything was very clean and comfortable. The food though! delicious. Every meal was insanely delicious and great ready to power us for the crazy adventures. The tour guides were great and overall I cant recommend this lodge enough.

Jamu Lodge was a highlight of our Ecuador trip and a wonderful base for experiencing the Equatorial Amazon. We stayed right on the river in the jungle, and felt truly immersed from the moment we arrived.
Before this trip, I didn’t even realise the Equatorial Amazon existed, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The wildlife was spectacular: birds, monkeys, anacondas, dolphins and caimans, to name just a few. Activities included touring by outboard canoe, swimming in the lagoon, visiting local villages, and both day and night jungle hikes. Jamu Lodge itself is beautifully positioned on the river, with buildings raised above the sometimes-flooded forest floor and connected by boardwalks, which adds to the sense of adventure while still feeling safe and comfortable. Our guide, Adrian, was local, knowledgeable and incredibly attentive to guests. Whenever wildlife was spotted, he did everything he could to make sure everyone had a chance to see it, generously sharing his binoculars and photos. The cabins were clean, rustic and well protected from bugs, the food was excellent, and the bar was a lovely place to relax at the end of the day. I would definitely recommend flying from Quito to Coca, then taking the transfer to the Cuyabeno bridge, where the lodge boat collects guests for the final part of the journey.
