The location of Princess Toa is fantastic, directly across from the view sites and trails to the lake and around the rim. The rooms are large, the beds comfortable with plenty of blankets.

Highly recommended.

The price-performance ratio is very good.

The fish and shrimp dish was absolutely magnificent. It was cooked perfectly—tender fish and succulent shrimp.
The service was also outstanding.

The hostel was very quiet and empty when we came. It was clean. They turned on the heat for us as it gets very cold in the evening. There was hot showers towels. They gave us mini soap and shampoo.

Great location next to town with all sorts of restaurants and tiendas. Also within a 5 minute walk of the Quilotoa lookout. The staff were great.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Runa Wasi. The staff was very warm and accommodating, the location was great and the room size was perfect.

Hostal El Vaquero was a great spot to stay for the night before our hike to Quilotoa!

I had a wonderful stay at Hostal Backpackers. Walter and Maria are such wonderful people! They're genuine, kind and went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible.

I inadvertently booked this place thinking it was in Quilotoa. But if you're doing the trail and passing through Chugchilan, I recommend this place. The couple that runs it couldn't be sweeter.

Amazing hospitality at the hotel! I stayed here during my 2-day hike on the Quilatoa loop. Despite my language barrier, the owner was extremely helpful.

We had a great experience at Hostal Mama Hilda. We got a very beautiful clean room and were welcomed by the whole family in the restaurant where they served us great food.

After walking through the Cañon del Toachi or the Toachi Canyon, arriving to Chugchilan was a hikers delight.

Our stay at Clod Forest was excellent. We stayed here along the Quilatoa loop and ended up staying an extra night to try the horse back riding to the cloud forest. I’m very glad we did!

The best experience of visiting Ecuador first time. They have amazing breakfast and dinner and it's all included. We visited this place in winter time so it was cold when we arrived.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights while doing the Quilotoa Loop hike. We stayed in the dorm room, which has a double bed in the loft.

Amazing place, Nice View, Amazing food and beautiful people. I felt they open me the doors of their cute ecuadorian family. The free banana cake and the coca tea conected me with magical Andes.

The views from the Black Sheep Inn were spectacular! And the staff is very friendly and helpful. We got a great recommendation for a local hike that took us to an incredible canyon.

This is a beautiful family-owned hostel on the Quilotoa Loop. The owners are very welcoming, the food is hearty and good, the beds are comfortable, the place is very clean and the shower is hot.

I can not recommend this place enough. Gladys and her son Hugo are such wonderful people, always looking after me, making sure I am warm, that my clothes are dry, etc.

For a hostel, quite nice. Rooms were small but beds, blankets and pillows good. The bathrooms are small but the water was hot. Breakfast was good. The owner is great. Recommended.

We arrived after climbing the Lagoon with our camper, asking for a hot shower, and the owners let us park in the back of the house and spend the night.

A Fantastic Stay at Llullu Llama!
We had an absolutely amazing time at this hostel! After walking for four hours in the rain, we finally arrived at Llullu Llama, where we were warmly welcomed.

Lovely place to stay during the hike. There was free yoga in the afternoon and morning with Fernando to help recover and prepare you for the next day of hiking.

Arrive in Sigchos first, and then they will guide you to the place; you will be there in about 15 minutes.

Mayra was such an excellent host, she went above and beyond for our stay before starting the Quilotoa trek.

Beautiful hostel with beautiful energy we woke up in our room that looked upon the mountains. It was gorgeous and the woman who runs the hostel is incredibly lovely and caring.

We had such a wonderful time here — the cute place, the food, the short-cut to the Quilotoa loop trail — it all worked beautifully for us making it a fantastic start to our hike!

Amazing, attention is great. Place is clean and well equipped. Love all the amenities, pool, sauna, hot tub. The animals and nature all around the best. Thank you for a great vacation.
