Amazing place! Will definitely return. The food is amazing, the staff is great! Been to many resorts in the Dominican but this by far beats others!

Had a great time, however starting to show its age and lacks staff of a certain maturity. Francesco from the level buffet is one of their most professional staff. Thanks Francesco!

Fantastic resort! Heavily suggest doing the LEVEL experience as the butler was a huge help!

A beautiful place to stay, all inclusive. The food amazing and the customer service and personnel are wonderful. Fully recommender.

So service and staff were fantastic. Our concierge Greydin was second to none. He made sure that all our reservations were made and excursions. Pay the extra $$$ for level ita worth it. If you like titos like I do, buy it in duty free they don't have it. Let me rephrase they do but a small bottle will cost you $45. Food at restaurants are okay, the best was at Riviera but you only have access if you belong to Level. Shows are ehh but its a resort so who. Cares. Overaall out of 10 I give it a hard 8.

Not worth the price tag. Food mediocre at best. Enjoy the buffet all the time because you won't get a dinner reservation unless you wait on hold for 30 minutes, just to get a 9pm reservation. Place is a maze and difficult to navigate. Gym area is a shack with broken machines. Overall not impressive.

The absolute filth is disgusting in this resort. The staff is lazy and the room is atrocious. Our room has dead bugs in the bed and dead cockroaches on the floor. If you like spending money for a dump, I recommend this place. I would have been better off burning my money.

Very nice hotel, with comfortable and spacious rooms. The swimming pool with bar, the water play area for children, the beach with activities nearby… everything is great. The staff is, overall, very helpful and kind.
Special mention to Pedrito who pampered us at the Tartuffo restaurant, thank you to him.
An exception for the shop, rare case where I had to deal with unpleasant staff. At the cost of memories, it's a shame.
I highly recommend the hotel for a family holiday in All Inclusive. 👍

Outstanding hotel, from the front desk to the room. All staff very professional and attentive.

The resort grounds are beautiful, staff are the best especially the entertainment guys who made our stay. The rooms are in need of a major renovation. In our room the doors did not close all the way both the balcony & front door had gaps in them which let many mosquitoes in the room. The food was the worst I have had at a resort. Food cold, bread was stale and the same entrées almost everyday, I really believe they are using alot of left overs from the day before.

Of course I would recommend it is a first class hotel, its excellent employees very friendly polite, the clean room disinfected, spacious and very comfortable the large pool cleans the restaurants very clean and exquisite food. And viariefad of liquors 👏 👏 👏 👍

There are better quality, smaller resorts that don’t require waiting 30 mins for a golf cart ride to take you just about anywhere you need to go. Upgraded to Level, was absolutely not worth it. Service was bleak.

A lousy customer service, the employees treat customers very badly, the food is good but at the same time it runs out if you do not eat early it is difficult for you to eat, restaurant reservations are chaos, I would not actually repeat this hotel, I expected an excellent weekend and this hotel hurt me! ☹️

The guest service and reception service, including the bar on the lobby are horrible. I would not recommend this resort to anyone. However, the restaurant service, the room service (cleaning) and the staff who care for the trees are the only kind people in the resort.
For 10 days in the resort we can say that the staff from the low level is the best. The middle level and high level of management should be changed, because definitely they do not know how to deal with their tasks.
I will never go to Melia hotels nowhere in the world. We were in many places for Holiday and I can conclude that this is the most horrible experience.

Overall it was a great experience and I do recommend it to anyone who wants to stay here! The only couple of things I’d like to point out are that 1. You don’t get served at the beach. You have to walk a very long way back to the bar. 2. Beware of the people trying to sell you things every two seconds and 3. The snack bar is terribly manned. Those were my downfall, other than that, the resort is beautiful, the food is pretty great, and the servers at the buffet (specifically Ramon) are phenomenal!

COVID-19 protocols are impressive, delicious food, good customer service, spacious rooms, nothing less than Miami but with amazing prices.

Great place for vacation, family oriented with variety of food. The beach is clean and beautiful. The service could improve but is great in general.

It is the perfect time, the movie was always kept in play, excellent drinks very exquisite dishes in the restaurants, all tasty.

Beautiful hotel and great service!

Beautiful Resort, we had our first family experience with small children! The room very comfortable, service every day! Very nice and kind staff. The place is beautiful with lots of green, pool, beach, all clean and well maintained! Only a small negative, given the large green park, we expect that when we walk we breathe clean air, but with the passage of the train that makes shuttle and the small carts that go to gasoline, sometimes the air is irrespirable, even when you are on it! Considering the place would be better to put electric, solar panels for example, would be greener and less noisy! We will surely return hopefully who will consider there suggestions! If not, we had a wonderful holiday. I recommend it as a family or as a couple!

I recently traveled with a group of 16 people to Dominican Republic to celebrate my 40th birthday. We stayed at Meliá Caribe Tropical. In a perfect world we would have not had any issues; the world is not perfect and we encountered some issues with our hotel check in and even with our rooms. The problems encountered are not even worth mentioning because Carlos & Hector from the Guest Services department made sure our group was well taken care of. They listened and resolved any and all issues everyone had from the point of check in to check out. Their attention to detail and problem resolution was outstanding and by far the best that I’ve ever experienced. Our group called them Señor solución 1 & 2. My review of the resort would have been very different had it not been for Señor solución 1 & 2. The resort has two restaurants that are not included in the “all inclusive package”. The food at the steak & lobster restaurant was delicious and worth the money. The food at the hibachi grill was not good in my opinion. We had access to the restaurant Quattro located in the Level the buffet there was good. The excellent rating given is due to the the service Carlos & Hector provided. I would definitely give the resort another try as long as these two are on staff. (See their picture in the comments)

This resort does not even deserve the one star! This resort and it’s staff were terrible! The hotel rooms are disgusting we had a group of 20 all had issues in some form with their room. The air wasn’t working in multiple rooms, bugs, loose wiring the list goes on! The staff nor management did not care! After voicing our concerns several times not once did anyone apologize or attempt to make it right! Once you alert management they should step in to do something. We spent our entire first day after long flights trying to get be get rooms with working air! The check in process takes too long as well! I wouldn’t recommend this resort to anyone! The beach had hills of seaweed along the beach! The “train” they have to pick you up to take you around the resort. They only had two and there is always a crowd standing and waiting! Once it pulls up everyone rushes to get on! They will probably delete this but I will be rating on trip advisory also! Stay away this resort should not be operating!
