Just returned today after a 14 day holiday at this fabulous hotel. I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the negative comments but why focus on the negative things when there are so many positive ones to focus on. All the staff from the hotel staff, bar staff, cleaning staff and animation team are really friendly and polite and can not do enough for you. The grounds and hotel are spotlessly clean. The rooms are really adequate and you do not need to take any toiletries as these are all provided. The iron and ironing board was a godsend. Ladies from the UK don’t bother taking an hair dryer as it will not work effectively, use the one provided even though it will take a while to dry your hair. I used to get in the shower as soon as I went up the room and let it dry on its own. Also the humidity is really bad and your hair will go frizzy so take something with you to combat this. Also take something for mosquitoes (do not buy the wrist bands from Tui as they do not work). We stayed in room 5260 and had a fantastic view over the gardens, pool area and the sea in the distance. The beach was stunning and the guys kept the seaweed at bay. Be careful in the sea though as there is a strong under current. Guests from the UK are very much in the minority, but I’m not surprised as we are on a different continent, therefore the entertainment and music etc is not catered for a UK audience. The animation team were great and kept everyone entertained on a daily basis and some of the evening was good also (apart from the heat and humidity in the concert area). We will definitely return to the Dominican Republic and this hotel as the Dominican people couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you for a fantastic holiday.
