I'm writing this recently-arrived review of my vacation.
My parents are partners travel club and because of their evenings we were invited to spend a holiday at this establishment. From the day of arrival to the hotel there were things that show that it is far from being a 5 star.
The television went on by itself, it passed during the night which woke up our daughter. We reported this problem 3 times and the only way they could fix it was by disconnecting the TV, we never had a TV working properly.
The door of the minibar was exiting from the arrival. I do not change our stay in anything, but a hotel Q says call 5 stars and has staff entering the room constantly (even maintenance) This was not or reported much less solved.
Try to bathe without flooding the room, would be a feat… we had to leave towels on the floor to avoid slipping. The saddest thing is that this is not a problem of our room but of several as my family had the same experience.
If you plan to go to the Kids club consider several things. The balls are deflated and have no inflator, the football arches are broken, the hammocks non-existent due to the rust in the games and the kitchen for babies is full of the food of the staff.
Another big problem is the food, prepare to always see the same thing 7 days a week, lunch, dinner and in all restaurants. Variety 0! Also do not forget to take drinks from a bar as it will be impossible to order drinks within the first 30 minutes.
Also, the biggest problem of this hotel is the service and the empathy towards the guest. Saving 3 people, all the rest of the staff is cut, selfless and answering. These are just a few examples.
When reporting the TV problem a second time, the receptionist said "because I didn't report it before", which I had already done and "I should have disconnected it", that at 3:00 in the morning with my daughter crying is not that easy. At no time did they apologize for the inconvenience, much less worry if it was resolved.
The lady who came to pick up the laundry had the volume of his radio at the highest level, he was asked to lower it to which he refused and continued counting the clothes.
The worst experience is with the cars to move within the complex, being clients travel club This is an extra benefit which has no value whatsoever. Cars are never available, waiting for 40 minutes, drivers even give the guest work to send letters for them. Because of all this we request to speak with the manager of the Travel Club David which is never worthy to contact us.
I hope that the hotel will take the time to answer this review detailing what are the steps to rectify all these problems and not just a standard answer.
This was not our first time in Punta Cana but clearly the last one in Palladium, if you can go to Iberostar, much more value and better treatment to the guest.
