Review of Catalonia Royal Bavaro 5*

I went to this resort to celebrate my honeymoon and both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves the entire time we were there. The resort itself is beautiful in the day and nighttime and there are quite a few things to see and do. The staff are friendly and helpful and do their best to help you get a solution for any of your concerns. The rooms were spacious, there were hammocks on every balcony, the view was nice and neither my wife or I ever felt bored. Furthermore, this resort is split into two: there is also a family side (which is on the other side of the resort) and if you are on the Royal side, you get access to both. The buffets and most of the a la carte restaurants were on the family side as well as the entertainment (for the most part), however, there are some exclusive restaurants and privileges you get by staying on the Royal side. The family side can get really busy as there were sometimes lineups for the buffet. When one is a privileged customer (as we were because of our honeymoon package) we never had to wait in line and we even get exclusive seating in dining areas. Honestly, I would STRONGLY recommend this resort if you are looking for a nice, relaxing getaway with your significant other, or if you are celebrating a special time (i. E. Honeymoon, anniversary etc. ) The only thing that was kind of unfortunate was the beach. While the water was always warm, the seaweed was piling up heavily along the sand and it was smelly… smelly enough to keep us from enjoying the beach. I don't really discredit the hotel for this because I was told they try to keep the seaweed at bay, but it's like impossible to do so totally and apparently, it's the season for this to happen. Otherwise, it was a great experience and we'd come back for sure!
