A wonderful hotel.

Beautiful resort but you get hassled if you walk by a flea market or a small shop. The town itself is extremely filthy. If you thought there was a problem with plastic in your country, all you need to do is go off the resort to see how and why plastic gets into Our oceans. A plastic straw ban is the least of our worries when you see the filth in the Dominican republic.

Good for spending a couple of days, very good value for money. Restaurants they had in the resort were surprisingly good. I was not to big of a big fan of the shows in the evening. Gets a bit boring after some days, but if you just want to relax for a little while it is a good place to be.

A friend of mine recommended the resort so my wife and I went for a week back in May of this year and to say that our stay was incredible would be an understatement. The rooms were fantastic, the food was delicious, activities were fun, and the employees were engaging. Customer service was wonderful! We got to meet Frankie, one of the resort employees. He was incredibly helpful and did an amazing job to see that our needs and wants were met. Thank you to Frank and the team for the amazing vacation! Can’t wait to be back!

I came into Be Live and met one of the employees, his name is Frank. He is one of the friendliest people I’ve ever come across. He really went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was wonderful and we had all we needed. From then on I’ve visited two more times and my stays have been getting better and better. Frank and his team are really outstanding people, can’t thank them enough for the amazing job! Keep it up, buddy!

Nice place however its very family oriented so be aware of that's not what you're looking for in a stay. On the other end it's a great spot to bring your kids too. The staff are awesome and are very welcoming and accompanying. There are sales vendors a couple of days a week. Usually weekends when folks are coming or going. A firm but friendly no should set you on your way.

The staff is very friendly, helpful and respectful. The food and drinks were decent. One tip is to keep the air conditioning on to prevent your room from becoming extremely moist and smelling moldy. Highly recommended the VIP room compared to the standard rooms.

Good hotel, hospitable staff.

We really enjoyed our 7 night stay. Food was decent (omelette station & pasta station) fresh to order. Snack bar food was ok and always something to eat. Drinks were tasty. Pool was huge and kids loved it from sunrise to sunset. My only complaint was the pool was closed from 7pm-7am. Grounds were very nice, kids club was good. Staff was all very friendly. Lots of locals on the weekend.

This hotel 4 years ago I went and it was excellent very good but now we went for Easter and it is very bad the food is the same and above all salt rise The kids complained a lot because they didn't want them to repeat to eat more burger than sorry that this hotel is lowering their c Alidad.

It's is an okay resort, the food is good but it does get repetitive. The entertainment shows were good, but some of them were very boring like the Hollywood show. The rooms were good except for the bathroom, the tub was always pretty nasty. The staff was really nice though, always there to help and pool as good too. The ocean was nice but dirty with seaweed and stick. But overall this resort was alright and it's good for kids too.

Hotel too noisy not enough shade space. The rooms are old. The beach of the hotel is abandoned it is not maintained and too much wind impossible to make tannette. So we rush for the pool except that too much sample and not enough deckchairs and umbrellas for everyone on the other hand level quality price is good.
The city's not far. Other beaches not very far away either.

Nice hotel But the service was poor. Cheap alcohol and very rude and not helpful at reception. Too few umbrellas!

First, you have the people from the timeshare bothering club.
Second: you have the bothering excursion vendors every minute, they are in the pool, on the beach, etc; As if the hotel management did not want you in the hotel but outside of it. I guess that keeps the cost down.
What's good: gym, Sportbar disco, casino, and Dial Duty Free shop, is close to many places among other things!

I did not like the attention that we got AMI husband and I on arrival, they gave us the room two hours after the check, the next day there were no reservations to the Letter. The cleanliness of the hotel is good, the food is good, and the beach is Good. The customer service staff is Poor.

Hotel not bad. Good restaurant. On the other hand the almost non-existent annimations in the day animators to change they only think to flirt.

Excellent place to stay! Great helpful staff, food was great, the entertainment was wonderful and the other tourists we met became good friends! Highly recommended. My bf and I did the VIP package which honestly there is no other way to go in my opinion. The pool was clean, the weekend foam pool party was a blast. All around five star experience. I will certainly be back!

Well upon checking in staff was helpful. We had to wait for our room. The pool, beach and entertainment was good. We also had to call guest services to fix our toilet and we had visitors (cockroaches) in our room. Frank was very helpful after we became good friends. Food I give 3 1/2 stars. Mylos restaurant don’t go. People are nice. Just needs a little updating but overall ok.

The pool is nice, but the animation is a bit noisy. The sea is cloudy depending on wind and weather and the beach is filthy with plastic rubbish.
Also the rooms have seen better times.

Best experience I've had at an all-inclusive resort by far. The food was fantastic (especially the Brazilian place), the weather was nice, the resort was very cozy and clean but the best thing about this place is without a doubt the staff! The animation crew is on a whole new level and a big thanks to Dolores from the food court and the girls at the VIP for their amazing services. Thank you, will be back!

The overall experience was good and we had a nice vacation. However, for the cost, I really felt like it should have been way better. Buffet food was luke warm and the restaurant food wasn't much better. The first day was wasted on sales pitches we had to keep telling the guy just to take us back to the hotel so we could enjoy our vacation. All inclusive does not mean all inclusive here. Room service was extra, and even certain meal choices at one of the restaurants was extra. It was simply not all I was expecting it to be.

The food was nice. The customer service was good. The room was late by 1 hour, they didn't have towels in the room, the sink was blocked, and the iron wasn't working. Due to natural causes the beach was unavailable and the pool was full of mud, which they didn't mention at the front desk before I paid. It took 1/2 days to clean the pool, by the time it was nearly ready I had to check out. The entertainment was very basic.

Very rundown hotel with poor food quality and choice. Rooms were dirty and bedsheets were changed only once during our 7 day stay. I don't doubt this was once a 5 star resort when it first opened but with poor matienance its at best 3.5 to 4 stars. Only plus side is the people working there are very friendly and helpful.

Well let's start with the fact that r room wasn't clean when we got it. The toilet was broken and there was a big pile of c@#$p in the toilet. After 3 phone calls and 3 repair men later I finally fixed it myself. This was after being told there were no other rooms Then we had to have the room cleaned which took endless other hours. Don't go here you can get much better for the money. Also there were at least 2 fights over the reservation of seats at pool. Never again.

The resort is just OK. You get what you pay for. Food is ok. There are only 3 bars and past 1 am only snack bar is open. There is no 24 hour bar open which is a huge disappointment. Service is good, employees are good but there aren't enough amenities in the resort. The evening shows are also below average.

I put 5 stars to the girls Maria and Veronica who soccupe the Kid Club, and the mini disco: My daughter Tia was enchanted and was waiting for the moment eagerly.
I also put 5 stars to all the management teams: the maids very nice and nice (ch 4115), the servers of the retaurants and bar, the gardeners, the reception, the cantoniers, the doormen without forgetting our guide NINA (promovacances). Thank you all for this great welcome.
I just regret the local 5etoiles which are extremely bathtub that does not close, the temperature at the faucet not remaining (super hot a mid run or cold during 15mn), door pass that does not work (forced to move at home every 2 Day to refresh the map). The double glazed door that leads to the balcony that is closed as it closes with the help of a stalk. The beach handshower (facing the bar) that does not fit in its location, leaking piping to the neighbor (LOL). It's true, it's not much, but when you're on vacation… it's ennyueux.
Otherwise we do not regret these 15days lol.

Dreary, grubby, unpleasant place altogether. The pictures do not reflect what you will find at this tired, worn-out 'resort'. Many of the guests were sick — all indicators point towards improper food handling/storage. Only 2 bars on site are included in the cost — the other you have to pay for your drinks. At an all — inclusive? No waiters/waitresses serving drinks around the pool or beach which means ALL the guests have to line up for drinks of cheap, poor quality alcohol. And who builds a resort in a tropical location with no screens on the patio doors? Mattress in the room along with the curtains and furnishings surely have been left by Columbus when he was there in 1492 as they were worn out then. Staff unfriendly, unwelcoming, sometimes to the point of being rude. Some/most give the impression they don't really care if you're there or not, as a matter of fact, they tend to make you feel you're nothing more than an inconvenience to them. There was a gob of hair behind the bathroom door in my room when I arrived and it was still there when I left. I came back to my room one afternoon to find the door to the room wide open — nobody around but the door wide open. Nothing was missing but I found it unsettling. All in all stay away from this place — there's lots of better places out there. A huge disappointment if you're expecting a 5 star as it claims to be. A 2.5 star is more realistic and perhaps even a little generous.

Hello I went to this hotel for my honeymoon, on the date from 28 to 30 December 2017.
My husband does not speak much Spanish so as he speaks English is defended with employees.
Check in check out well employees well explained well.
Buttons We wait a good time for a button to take us to the habitacionoes and a tired one.
Housekeeper and maintenance main door not well to close you have to give it hard but careful but it will fall the door because this an old Poquita. They made the room very late. The phone does not work we tried to call the receocion on many occasions we could not.

Food and drinks Service excellent animation and service of towels very well what we bothered was on the first morning when leaving for breakfast a lifestyle button We grabbed told us that we would take to breakfast in a place for VIP we fell in love and then another agent E of lifestyle took us outside the hotel to breakfast and then took us to visit the hotel lifestyle to buy a package, all the way, the we said as the package told us that his boss was going to tell us, the point I want to signal is spent a morning Visiting to dock convince us to buy a package and we could not enjoy our honeymoon. I am a person who works in a resort too and I do not like what happened to me do not enjoy my honeymoon. Don't enjoy the hotel you choose to be live Grand Marien. Please change this process of selling lifestyle packages.

Excellent resort, I would say it is one of the best in Playa Dorada Puerto Plata. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, the room was comfortable, children's area, swimming pool for adults and children, etc. The only thing that is not so good is the beach because it tends to have lots of algae.

Lots to tell, so little time. Go experience it for yourself. My star rating suggests you should. :)

My family and I travel relatively often a year on holiday. We can therefore judge quite well in what proportion the quality of a hotel facility is. We are actually very receptive to new hotels. This resort has light and clear dark sides. Let's get to the Postitiven: The complex is beautifully laid out and has three varied restaurants. A beautiful, albeit not dreamlike, beach section. The food at Mediterranean R. Loved us by far best and was very good quality! The Mexican R. Was also good! The room sizes are also good and spacious. But now to the negative: one gave us a room on the third floor for two children (including a toddler with stroller). The immediate complaint was that we had to wait three days for an alternative on the ground floor. After visiting the Mexican for the first time, my wife had diarrhea. I was after the visit to the Rodizzio after vomiting, diarrhea and fever in the hospital. The ambulance had to drive me there because I was really not able to go in spite of my athletic constitution. After two days I wanted to leave the hospital with a bill of 1, 500 euro under my arm. The service at the resort is rather poor. Little value is placed on hospitality and good service. In the cupboard we had mold because on the ground floor there is a poor ventilation with a lot of moisture. Most of our clothing is also now moulded. To that came several complaints from the draining toilet to the considerable dissolving of the color in the bathtub/shower etc. Pp.

Hotel Resort confortable and comfortable, located in the resort Costa Dorada where you can spend an unforgettable holiday. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very good. Hotel suitable for the whole family.

It's nice, but it needs improvement. The rooms feel very humid, the cleanliness takes a long time to arrive, they do not collaborate much cleaning the coasts, the food is not 24h, and they give many laps to register.

Okay place for simple sun destination in the winter as an all inclusive resort. There are too many sea weeds in the water and I had to go to one kilometers to the left to swim. Their food is good. One down point is there are many time share people trying to get you invest in their business.

This was my first time at a resort and I was amazed at how huge the place was! The rooms were first class (we stayed in building 9 right next to the beach) and the food was well prepared. The spa was well serviced and the staff were excellent.

The hotel is a medium size, aging, very clean and comfortable. The food is plentiful and excellent at the buffet as well as the restaurants. Good service all over the site. The beach and the sea have disappointed us a bit because of the strong winds that drove the imposing waves making the bathing rather unpleasant. The water from the unique and large pool was crystalline and fresh. The lobby and gardens were shining with a thousand lights as they were very well decorated for the holiday season. Excursions are not really worth the cost.
All in all we (4 friends) had a nice week of rest and good "food".

The beach very nice, the water too, and the pool. The bar service excellent, however the room service, and room quality has to be improved a lot. The rooms are clean though, however the "equipment" is old. People are nice and friendly, however the management left a lot to be desired. The food choice and quality could be improved too. US dollars are preferred, so exchanges from Canadian to US dollars are not to be made as the difference is way too big. There is a market close by, however I understood from people who went there that it is not worth it, unless you want by all means visit it. The transport from/to the airport very classy. Unless they change something, I do not think I will re-visit this resort.

Positive Points: — the food is correct, several choices — the service is good, nice staff.
A la carte restaurants are very good.
— Large beach — large pool negative Points;
— Lunches end at 10am too bad for late risers!
— The wine is terrible… — The drinks are Soso (Pepsi flat & alcohol cheap) — the rooms are its old.
— The doors of the soundproofed rooms have heard the doors slammed from 8am in the morning.  Not easy sleeping with that.
— The showers in the rooms are bad.
— Big problem of towel during our stay never towel in the room for showers… Must ask several times.
— The Wi-Fi only works at a place on the edge of the pool and malfunctions.
-we had requested 1 large bed but we had 2 small beds… This is not a 4.5 stars but plus a 3.5.

DO NOT GIVE THIS RESORT YOUR MONEY! There is no excuse and no reason for what they do to poor animals. Recently there was a young kitten living on the resort and a family took care of it and they even made arrangements for someone to come get the cat and they had a flight booked for it… well as SOON as the family left this resort, they "threw the kitten in the garbage"… that is what was told to the person who went to try and get it. People, there are rescue groups in the DR that are doing amazing jobs at keeping animals healthy, well this resort won't even let the very professional group on the grounds to give the cats medicine and vaccines etc, they would rather throw the animal away like garbage! Lets show them, this is unacceptable and management needs to work with the rescue groups and learn to treat animals with dignity and respect. This is shameful and is totally unacceptable! Lets stop this from happening anymore! Write the resort, write management and DEMAND THIS STOP IMMEDIATELY! It sickens me and I will never step foot on this resort and I will make sure people know what they do to defenceless animals.

It is a very beautiful hotel, I loved in services, the quality of the food, a very relaxed atmosphere and to rest. Excellent to go with the family.

Happy! Good service, beautiful place, nice for kids. We visited it days before Hurricane Maria, and we had to go a day earlier, Lamentandolo a lot. Good food. I recommend the Brazilian restaurant.

The hotel is great and the common areas nice. But the room had a lot of smell of humidity. And I didn't have the basics to be comfortable. Regular cleaning.

For the special offer I got, it was great, food was good and fresh with different varieties … some entertains programs were good … having a club inside for the people who stay on the hotel and another one with locals which you have to be careful but yet fun was another value to the resort. If the bar next to the pool would be bigger it would be great.

My wife and I was at this hotel around 23rd Sept and when we arrived we had to change rooms three times as rooms smelt like a public toilet, the food has no selection and I would not even give to my dog, after 4 days I had choice to fly home or change hotels we decided to go into iberostar next door I had to pay but believe you me it was worth it, as an all inclusive hotel it was 150 per cent better than the live collection take advise if you are going to live collection soon amend booking if you can it is indescribable and very poor.

My partner and I went for a week August 28-September 5. The room and food was mediocre, the beach was fantastic, but the service was horrible. It was so busy with locals there were line ups at all the food stations and bars, I guess because of the long weekend. The room is nothing special. The food is bland and the same thing every single day, but the a la cartes were pretty good and if you ask they'll let you go more than once, which was nice. The beach was nice, a bit dirty, but cleaner if you go a bit further off to the side. No jellyfish or anything, though, so I felt really safe swimming everyday. The service really pissed me off though: 1) we requested a king bed, I know it's just a request but when we asked for it at the front desk they jerked us around a bunch, saying go check out your room (with 2 queen beds instead) and if you don't like it come back and we'll change it. So we did, didn't like it, came back and they told us they didn't have any rooms with king beds left and to come back the next morning. So we did, and they told us again to come back at 4. Finally, we came back and got the room. 2) the towel exchange closed at 7 everyday and sometimes we were still on the beach at this time so we would just keep our towels and exchange them every morning. On our last day, there was a different towel guy than usual and he started giving us trouble about exchanging our towels.

I really did enjoy this place and the food but I did notice a difference in the drinks when I arrived on Thursday versus the drinks that were served on Friday and Saturday. Those were stronger. I was also upset when I went to make a reservation for dinner and no one was there and then when I came back she told me it was all booked! Other than that, our experience was good.

Everything feels like fake luxury. The service is fine in some areas but it's always the minimum. The rooms were okay and the air conditioning worked well. There weren't enough shaded areas around the pool, so if you're a late riser it will be too hot to spend a day at the pool. At the beach, there are also not enough parasols but at least there are palm trees which provide some semi-shade. It is not a four star plus resort. More like a three star. It shows that they are trying to make it better, but I wouldn't go back anytime soon. Give it 5 years to improve and then I would try this resort again.

It is a unique place to rest.

Food and swimming pool are good. Entertainment is okay at best. The room was damp and humid when we arrived but they changed it in a few minutes. The restaurants were all booked before 9 AM which I find rare. Overall, an okay resort.

The hotel grounds are beautiful, the all inclusive package is great value. The food and drink flows all day. On the down side you must get to guest services early (By at least 9am) to reserve a spot at an on-site restaurant for dinner that evening. If you do not get a spot then the buffet is open and the food is wonderful and ever changing. We have had an issue with customer service as our room is very damp with a smell and mould on the curtains. However each time we complain we are told it's humidity. It's not humidity. It is damp. I'm aware of the difference. They promise repeatedly to send someone to check, so far 3 days in and nobody has arrived. It is putting a cloud over our holiday. Edited to add: at the end of day 3 after speaking to guest services rather than reception we were finally moved. Happy to report that the new room had no smell and was incredibly comfortable.

2 stars for the food. 1 star for service. 1 star for entertainment. 0 stars for cleanliness. I cannot believe that it is rated as 4.5 star resort. I have seen 3 stars that were better than this resort. What a waste.

Green, after Turkey, Tunisia or Egypt, is very conspicuous. The hotel has a great location. Sand on a regular-coloured beach, many tour operators claim to be white.

I highly recommend Dominican Republic, but I DO NOT recommend this resort. The first thing to mention is the deplorable food. Never in my life have I eaten such disgusting food, and I was a deployed Marine in the desert. There was literally NOTHING on the buffet worth eating. The staff was also very unfriendly and unprofessional. I don’t think I saw a single smile. We were literally held hostage on our way out because we couldn’t find our check-out ticket. The rooms were OK, but you can’t drink the water and the toilets barely flush. The beach was nice, but it was littered with cigarette butts and empty cups. Also, there is NO drink service on the beach, so be prepared for a lot of back-and-forth to the bar. I hope you like Presidente, because that’s the only beer they serve. Also, they open the resort to the locals on the weekend, so be prepared for ridiculous crowds on Sat and Sun. If you must stay here, plan plenty of activities away from the resort. You’ll mainly just want to sleep and shower there.

The hotel is wonderful a beautiful paradise.

All in all is maximum as to write a OK hotel. One believes the homepage is a 5 star hotel which it is but justice in any case. We booked a standard room. This was clean for local conditions and daily cleaned, however it should be noted that these rooms are very noisy. Due to the high humidity, it comes to mold on beds, pads, and chairs. These have been changed without.
The facility itself is also clean, just like the restaurants. The pool area is cleaned daily, which however should not obscure, that many of the concerns are defective or the location. The Badehantücher be cleaned daily, but sometimes spotty or broken. The same applies for the towels and bed linen in the rooms. Use of the safe in room costs $3 per day, is but advisable.
Wi-Fi is free in the lobby available every day for an hour, is more than slow. It is possible to book a separate Internet service, this is however clearly overpriced.
The food is good and plenty of choice, but is varied buffet offers a "5 star" Hotel does not meet. Furthermore, the opportunity in one of the 3 additional restaurants there is to eat.
The shops in the system are completely overpriced, but allow things of daily needs to acquire. Here, a trip to Puerto Plata should be at the grocery store to get the stuff at regular prices. Otherwise, the city has nothing to offer.
The fitness area is very bad.

Stayed here when it was Osais Marien, great food, great beach, great cocktails, great staff, what more can I say.

Snack area at night left much to desire. The room had no blower and a slightly low illumination. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The buffet area for breakfast, was excellent.

It was an excellent resort! Everything is very well organized your never bored with all the activities that they have! There's always something to do! The pool is very nice and the beach is great. The vendors are a little annoying but you can just nicely decline and you never need to actually buy something. They will try to be very over pricey but only because they think there smarter then you just don't fall for the trick. Other than that everything is amazing there's a great variety of food to eat from and the beach is clean and has such nice clear water. The staff is very very helpful and suleika and bladimir were always involved and making the actives a lot more entertaining! I loved it here such a great stay!

I love the Hotel their food and everything, only that the treatment of Dominicans is not very Buenos as persons from other countries. Your arrive to provide drinks to us not, because eh already gone several times and walked with more people and complain of such treatment. And at the reception not saven amoliarye more pass much work because at least that your ask you you answer. Do not try to get a solution.

Beautiful beach and nice weather. I good option to consider and less pricey than Punta Cana.

Was a madness real horny holiday.

Against many opinions, I can only say that I round to satisfy have been am. Country typical 4 * are to be found here. The hotel is not in the years, or old. But rather in the environment eingewachsen and "arrived".
After multiple visit is in recent years much has been happening and updated. I'm going back again.

This hotel is the maximum duration of 15 days and 14 nights there are three very good restaurant and the staff knows as is kaiketsuzorori89142 to customers very good beaches and also the animators pools are very well one that tells the mosquito always makes smiled that are hosted and the Buffet meals of good quality Disco is great and I also liked because in the Lobi is well located is the I recommend these in port Silver Gold Coast.

Overall it is not bad but the front desk manager Darlen is really bad news with an attitude and not there to serve you as his customer just serving the hotel real bad experience with him when asking for help. the other front desk manager Yamal is good and the 2 guys at night Yoel and Raily are very kind and nice.

I stayed there in September 2015, had a great time. The room was cleaned updated. The beach was nice and blue. The food was great, big variety fresh and tasty options. Second night they served grilled lobster with live music playing, doesnt get bwtter than that. The staff was knowledable and helpful.

I liked it so much… I tell Them that not so long ago that we were vacationing and had to go back to this hotel in December.

Hotel slightly dated but the room was clean and perfectly positioned for us by the beach. The beach vendors gave up on us on day three. We were polite but declined any of their offers. Certainly not as bad as described by other reviews on here. For us the one let down was the food. It didn't make us ill but it looked and tasted overcooked, tired and dull and although it was themed every night it all tasted the same.

This hotel is the worst. The air of the room did not cool anything, apart from that dumped a downpour on the floor, the mini fridge in the room was all warm, not cooled anything, the keys of the rooms was a hassle to log in because of not working, I spend all day in the reception tried to fix the keys, and still only worked one, there are animators that serve everything is very boring, the drinks minimum were water linked with a chin of alcohol because I did not know anything and or speak to the restaurant buffet was monotonous all the same, to say that they put rice, beans and ground beef breakfast lunch and dinner, the nightclub, the more bad, the towels are old and ugly, I changed the towels and left me without anything until 9 at night, still hurts your head because you pay so much for this nonsense of "resort". Conclusion I do not recommend to anyone is nonsense.

Definitely an amazing place, is a luxury hotel, the people are very friendly and nice, excellent service, pools, food, rooms, but especially the animation team of the hotel is by far the best, zapete (mosquito) a great character, we had a great time thanks to his humor and, in general, the daily shows that to this staff were simply amazing!, the drinks wonderful, and the bartender even better! there is a guy that I don't remember his name, but thanks to the I have tried many drinks new! and they were really incredible, I can only give the thanks to all the staff who work in the hotel for the great vacation that I lived thanks to you they made my stay 100% enjoyable and not wanted to come.

It was just terrible terrible terrible! All I can say never recomend it to anyone! Smelly room, fridge doesnt work in your room poor cleaning in your room, bad staff, bad drinks, poor activities, had to pay for Wi-Fi, when you asked for something they would just act like who are you and take forever to bring it! Dirty beach, pool wasnt sanitized properly my son qot an allergy from pool not being properly cleaned! Check in takes forever, rooms smell like mold and urine. Just a very bad resort! Chec.

Very good hotel, everything was clean. The food is rich and delicious. Evening Shows, full professional. The beach is always well maintained, water quality is very good. The complex is guarded day and night. Security is writen very large. The new rooms are super equipped.
