Nice hotel with good beach, lots of potential but most of the rooms are dated. They have switched this resort to a selections level and it is not anywhere near comparable to any other Iberostar selection hotel like the rose hall suites, paraiso maya, or bavaro suites with respect to amenities, food and service. This is a quaint beach level resort with average at best food, and caters to Spanish speaking community. I would not return, for the same money I can stay at a way nicer resort.

Wonderful hotel. Congratulations for your service in general in Hacienda Dominicus — Iberostar Selection in Bayahibe. The staff are very good in all services that we have. They are kind people, cordial and have a natural simplicity and simpaty. The gardens are great and well treated. We loved the food and your organization in all restaurants and bars. I need to emphasize the special work that the animation group do with us. The days were fantastically past with the games, dance and with them everyone smiles and received good vibes. I have to make a special comments to Wiki Wiki, Peluche because they are fantastic boys, his behavior was exemplary, they were kind and very educated. We liked everything and the other elements of this animation group was also fantastic so congratulations also to Chocolate, Mamajuana, Marcia, Vane and all the others that I don't remember the name. The nights were excellent with them, we dance and joy a lot this moments. Awesome hotel! Incredible service in general. However, I want to emphasize the wonderful work of the animation team, without them nothing would be the same!
Fantastic work from Wiki Wiki and Peluche above all that, in addition to being exemplary in their work, they were always attentive and excellent without a single negative point to point out, but also Chocolate, Mamajuana, Marcia, Vane and all the rest. This animation team is one of the best I've seen, they make this experience countless times better. If this team stays there, I plan to return next year with the whole family.

Beautiful resort, landscaping is beautiful. Beach and ocean beautiful as well. Our Concierge Gabriel was very attentive and helped us resolve a few out of the ordinary issues. He would always find me at the resort when the issue was resolved and didn’t keep me waiting. I could go enjoy my day.
I felt there could have been different food rotations. We love seafood and the only seafood available was fish every day. Buffet was the same food every day. We ate at the Mexican, French and Steak restaurants. Mexican was our favorite; steak house our least favorite. Resorts was only 20% filled. Pool only had a handful of people. Beach was not full and no problem getting a good seat.

The food in the restaurants was very good and varied. We liked it best from the food, with the French El Colonial.
The Little Star Coffee invited to an espresso and a snack "Deftig or Süß".
The park in the middle of the complex invited you to relax. The many birds there enchanted the entire ambience in the end.
The beach was great! There were also enough loungers at any time of the day. The water Clear and warm (27 — 28 degrees) No trace of seaweed in our holiday season.

Which we very much welcome!

We have been to several iberostar resorts in the Caribbean and this one was our favorite. The beach and pool were great. Beach has great sand and a large swimming area. Excellent snorkeling in the man-made reef right off the beach. The grounds and facilities are well maintained. The birds and peacocks were fun to watch. Dominican people are very friendly. Wonderful place for families. The majority of guests are European/South American and Spanish is the primary language. Our concierge Miguel was amazing and was also very helpful in arranging the reservations at the restaurants.

As a family of 6 we have booked a family room. We have received two double rooms (with one bed too little! ) at a quite higher price than two double rooms. Complaints at the reception unfortunately did not bring anything.
The resort is basically beautiful and expedient. The food good, the reservable restaurants are highly recommended, if a place can be obtained. The staff is friendly.
Pools and beach/sea is also ok. But I don't have to fly to the Dom Rep at this price!
Wi-Fi in the room was a disaster — unusable! In one room, the toilet flushing has been constantly chatting, this has not been fixed even after several reports.
Conclusion: From our point of view, price/performance ratio is not justified!

Incredibly nice and cheerful Staff. The Gardens are very beautiful. The Loungers on the Beach, however, are easily glazed and uncomfortable without a Star Prestige Upgrade. The Food, on the other hand, is top.

Bad experience. If you are going to enjoy the sea and the beach DON'T GO to THIS HOTEL. They do not allow you to use the beach chairs are always all booked and in the hotel no one knows how to explain or give solutions.

The hotel is spectacular in every way… But step from being a family hotel to already look like the Riu chain… Many tourist speakers everywhere… They don't end up letting you rest… It hurts because it is a tremendous hotel.

This resort is beautiful with lots of beautiful landscape they maintain and wildlife like peacocks flamingos etc. I will say it is a resort for families. They cater to that clientele. One complaint I have is They have four restaurants where you need reservations to have dinner. The frustrating part of this is the day we checked in to the hotel all the restaurants were booked every single day of our stay already however when we passed them no one was in the restaurants except 1 or 2 tables. It didn’t make sense. We had to beg for a table at one of them where they let us go and set up our own nice table food was delicious but it was a nightmare just to get that. They do have a Buffett every day for lunch and dinner that’s open to all of you have no reservations but it would have been nice to have more variety. The nightlife is non existent at this resort. They have a club called discoteca but it’s not open until 11 and no one is there when you go. All in all the food was good and it’s beautiful but I don’t think I would go back to this resort. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Best All-inclusive hotel in Bayahibe (by Far) with very high Standards. Among the best Hotels in the Dominican Republic. Great Food, freshly cut Fruit, fresh Eggs or Omlettes — lots of Special Promotions or themed Evenings. Very nice Employees. Beautiful sprawling complex with tropical Garden — here there are even free-roaming Animals such as Peacocks etc. Super Room — large and functional. Very cozy, homey hotel. Good food. Sturdy colonial architecture does not leave indifferent! A special attraction is the peacocks that roam the territory and sleeping in the night in the trees like a normal bird (weighing eight pounds :). When you check in having difficulty with numbers. We rested a family of 5, so children could not settle near us (parents). In the end, lived on different floors in the same Villa. Under the Windows of the rooms the children had daily animation at the pool and if not for the fact that I have kids is not small, it would be very easy (or rather very noisy), so with the Windows closed the room was each other is bad.

Food, cleanliness/service, ambiance, facilities super. Only 4 stars due to poor Wi-Fi (only a few spots stable).

No hot water in the shower, toilet would not flush, poor room service, sauna/spa: no water, hair conditioner, creams, or towels in the spa. No water to drink. Should not be called sauna. Staff is NOT friendly, rude. Food is good, but same every day with very little variety. Overpriced. Not kids friendly, lots of people smoking everywhere. Would NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, overpriced and overrated. Do not know why they are sold out. NOT COming back here, not even if the reduce the prices. Beware!

The hotel is characterised by an architecturally well-thought-out facility. It has a very nice park — and pool area, a nice beach and super friendly staff. The food leaves nothing to be desired. There is a good buffet restaurant and four theme restaurants.

Very good hotel, excellent service, good food and drinks. The beach is the best of the surroundings. The rooms are comfortable somewhat outdated but renovated and updated. Everything spotlessly clean. Activities for all tastes. What I did not like is that many boats pass sailing near the water limit for swimmers, should do it at 500 meters or more.

Beautiful grounds with friendly staff. The resort property is large, with the rooms divided over 7 individual buildings, joined by a walking path. Rooms are spacious, and surprisingly quiet. We had requested a room with two doubles and a crib for a toddler, and our room was not only as requested, but they added a third single bed for our daughter. A very pleasant surprise. Pool is large and warm. Huge compliment for the area surrounding the pool is there is plenty of shade and umbrellas without feeling crowded. Some other Caribbean resorts feel cramped and guests jostle for tables and space each morning. Hacienda Dominicus is large and relaxed, with room for everyone. Food is very good, although staple items seem to appear frequently so you may tire from identical meals. More theme nights would be a welcome addition. Food and snacks available through most of the day, with a gap in availability from about 6-7pm as they change over for dinner. Beach is clean. All grounds are very well kept. Plenty of beautiful birds and wildlife to admire while walking the property. Highly recommended for families. Not a boisterous party resort, but still manages to be fun and relaxing.

Very bad reception, check-in, check-out, reception not at the height of the rest of the hotel, a true disaster:
We'll let you remembered message, but no one knows why. We remember 6 x and it almost gets mugged.

Has a spa, very, very good, with masseuses excellent, pool very nice, with a jacuzzi and a sauna to be very good, and a very nice beach, the food and the rooms are good, but the disco is pretty bad, to the point that almost no one goes there, and the dominican merengue shines by its absence, the gardens are very pretty and well cared for.
