Sutton Place Hotel

A lovely hotel right in the heart of Roseau, rooms are spacious and nicely decorated, the Aircon is amazing when coming back to the room to cool down.
There are plenty of places to eat around, and there are communal areas where you can bring food back to eat and a microwave to heat food up. There is also a waterjug which is convenient for getting cold water before leaving for the day.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, I had a issue where the toilet started leaking slightly when flushing, but it was fixed within 30 minutes of reporting the fault.

A basic hotel, well located in the middle of roseau. Nice service. The room needs some refurbishing. The shower area requires some immediate new caulking and cleaning of the mold. The pillows were smelling and needed some washing off the covers. I didn't have time for breakfast.

The location was very convenient, close to everything in the city. The room was cleaned daily, however by the third night, the AIR CONDITIONING was not cooling the room, this made sleeping at night a bit uncomfortable. Warm and welcoming staff very pleasant.

A great place to stay in the heart of Roseau. Close to many bars, restaurants and vibrant nightlife spots. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The only minor drawback is that it can be a bit noisy on some nights due to bustling night life nearby.

I have only good and excellent things to say about Sutton Place Hotel. The room was large, air-conditioned and excellent. The service from all the staff met above and beyond my expectations. I love the locaton in the center of the captial city Roseau giving me easy access to the city and it's excitements, and my business appointments. The Staff at Sutton Place Hotel were incredibly warm, welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. The ambience is always inviting and comfortable. Yes you guessed it, this was not my first time at the place and I hope it would not be my last. The room with its vintage furniture was kept in immaculate condition and provided a cosy retreat.
Located in the center of Dominica’s capital, this family run establishment provides a secure and safe environment for its guests, not only for those seeking to conduct business on the island but also for anyone wishing to explore the town with its friendly folk and an opportunity to experience the island’s rich culture. The hotel is within easy reach of shops, eating places, transportation and the night life on offer.
If you prefer to dine in, the newly opened café is an ideal spot for breakfast and lunch where one can sample its delicious local cuisine. Sutton Place Hotel is a convenient location for the Creole Festival, Carnival, Christmas and many other popular events held on the island.
Your tour operator will be only too willing to pick you up and take you around to the many interesting sites on this mountainous gem of the Caribbean.

Sutton place made my first visit to Dominica a memorable one.
I truly enjoy all it had to offer, the food at Sutton place cafe was very delicious and its staff are so friendly and accommodating.

We arrived at 1am in the morning after delays at the airport but check in was smooth. We were quickly given our keys and were in our rooms (shame about no lifts but I knew this before hand) the suite was lovely and comfortable. The breakfast wasn’t very filling and I ended up buying things to make breakfast. I did have to ask for coffee refills but this was done swiftly.
The 2 ladies on reception were very friendly and helpful.
Despite the mini gripes I would definitely return here.

I was happy to stay at Sutton Place Hotel in June 2024. The place is extremely convenient for moving around the town.
The management and Staff are very polite and gentle and friendly.
I have recommended and will continue to recommend to friends and Family.

Good size room, decent aircon and comfy bed, shower was really tricky to operate though. Helpful reception staff. Make sure you order and eat early at the restaurant as by the time we wanted to eat (7.45pm) ALL of the food had sold out to non-resident diners. Real shame as its a nice spot and there's really not that many restaurants in Roseau.

We went to the Sutton Place Cafe for breakfast. When we got there, other clients were having a Guinness (at 9h45! ), and WHY NOT?! So that was our appetizer and then we had their sandwiches. Mine was with bacon and egg and cheese the other one was turkey and cheese. We also tried the cappuccino, and it was delicious as well. Very nice location, good music, and service with a smile. Congrats!

Sutton Hotel is ideally located in Roseau with professional staff which added to my stay. I was pleased to meet and converse with one of the managerial team who was also very professional. Since this was a business trip I must add that the Internet connectivity was good.

Sutton Place located in the heart of Roseau, Dominica is a home away from home. Excellent and friendly service from the staff, very welcoming. The rooms very reasonably priced are very clean and modern. The location of the hotel is very convenient. I came for the World Creole festival and being in the travel industry would highly recommend The Sutton Place Hotel as the place to be. You don't have to worry about getting to the airport. The hotel will arrange your way back to the hotel.

Sutton Place Hotel was a lovely home away from home! The staff were incredibly welcoming & friendly, while still maintaining a professional efficiency. I was part of a group, and with just 5 rooms per floor, this boutique hotel was wonderful! There was a small common area with great breezes input floor and a lovely courtyard downstairs. (The building is 200+ years old! ). I'd definitely stay here again!
