"Roskilde BnB" is NOT in Roskilde, nor is it a BnB.
It's located 12km outside Roskilde, most of a km S of Snoldelev. If you don't have a car, it's a walk on the highway (no sidewalk or bikeway) to the closest bus stop in Snoldelev to take you into Roskilde.
The owner seems a nice person, but she's trying to hold down a full-time job, develop a new career, plus be responsible for all the "BnB" maintenance and housekeeping. There are places to eat your meal, a shared refrigerator, beds, minimal lighting, essentially nowhere to lay open a suitcase except the floor and no closets. (Our room had a small "closet" with a door blocked by the tiny bedside table. ) If you want soap or shampoo in the shower, bring it. If you want a breakfast beverage other than instant coffee or tea, bring it. If you want any solid food, bring it. Towels are NOT necessarily refreshed after 2 days, as advertised. You get a bed, a bathroom (for some rooms, a shared bathroom) & a shared refrigerator. But not much else.
The upstairs bathroom has a glaringly bright light that is apparently turned on with motion and cannot be turned off. Horrible, if you have to use it in the middle of the night.
Simple Danish aesthetics have been defeated by the cluttering the common areas of the "guest house" by storing memorabilia and used furniture.
BUT it is a very quiet setting (assuming fellow guests aren't noisy) and is in a lovely neighborhood of farmsteads.
And it's relatively cheap.
