€40 per bed x 10 beds? And they can't offer even some cornflakes or toast? If a hotel received €400 for a basic room, they would make your bed and include a full breakfast. Owners are way to profit hungry. Staff are lovely thus the extra star.

The perfect hostel, with friendly staff, normal price, cleanliness high quality, very near to the city center. Wi-Fi is working good, safety and security also very high, even in the big dormitorys. I am extremmely thankful to Mrs. Azi at the reception, she's just amazing, positive, doing very good job.

Wow this hostel is nice. Check in and check worked very smoothly for me and the bar on the ground floor was great. This hostel really promotes the social nature of hostels and staying here is sure to net you some great friendships and acquaintances. No alcohol is allowed in the room which I found out the hard way but if you can deal with that, I wholly recommend Danhostel for such a low price, quality of service and accommodations, and excellent location in the city.

A cool place in the middle, 500 meters from Tivoli. You can't find it for that kind of money.

Old hostel, very noisy, they don’t have air conditioning, very uncomfortable beds. There are not enough outlets in the room. The breakfast is fantastic, they have very good and healthy food. I tried the bugs, delicious. It’s well located with great views from the higher floors. The staff is friendly and nice. From her you can walk to all the highlights of the city.

Great location, friendly staff, nice bar. But like anywhere, you get what you pay for. Beds are hard and pillows are flat, definitely recommend bringing a mattress pad/your own pillow. Be prepared for loud snoring and trouble falling asleep. But for a traveler on the move, it's worth the money, and I had a decently good time staying here.

We had a wonderful stay at Danhostel! The view from our room was amazing and the hostel is located near everything we wanted to see and experience in Copenhagen. The main train station is just around the corner and that was convenient as well. We stayed in a wheelchair accessible room and it was perfect. The hostel even provided a shower chair for disabled people and the staff was super helpful and lovely. Great value for price.

Definitely recommend danhostel for a stop in Copenhagen. For these prices you get attractions in walking distance normal rooms and good service.

Extremely clean and nice. Not much of a hostel and more like a hotel. A big downside was that each room only had one bathroom so my room of 8 had to share one bathroom. Come here if you like clean and quiet.

The hostel is located in a strategic spot, you can visit Copenhagen on foot, so you enjoy walking the helpful and friendly staff. And I wanted to emphasize the Manager muomed x US Italians and fundamental, then always available and very patient thanks for everything.

Very comfortable hostel 10 min from Central Station and 15 from downtown. Prices Big x our standard but clean and well organized room, proper bathroom. CMQ you spend less than in other places.

A very clean and spacious hostel. The location is the best! Everything in the city was walking distance except to and from the airport. I stayed in a 6 person mixed room and felt quite comfortable, sharing the shower and toilet between the 6 of us was not an issue. Also the view from the room was amazing. I highly recommend this place for any young travelers!

Cleanliness and very good treatment (the employees do not speak Castilian). The bathroom was lacking in a bit of maintenance. Excellent location (very close to the center of town).

A winning choice. A structure offering a twofold solution, hostel in common rooms or very spacious single rooms with at least 4 beds. Modern and clean structure, far from the idea of the hostel as bivouac. The location allows you to walk to the city centre in less than 10 minutes. Great value for money, possibility to rent bicycles. At the entrance there are N vending machines for drinks and snacks, as well as an informal restaurant. Recommended for families, young people and businessmen.

Clean, warm facilities and good location (quiet without being too secluded)! Other guests were also very respectful (may have been luck, though). Overall good stay for 3 nights.

It is more of a hostel and really comfortable and clean. The rooms are large and bright. The breakfast is plentiful and the location is central. We always enjoyed every time we come to Copenhagen. I recommend it to everyone.

Location is good. Had a problem where my booking was canceled abruptly before I took my flight to Copenhagen. Called to make the booking again, the reception doesn't seem to be very experienced, but nevertheless still got the room I book (but a lot more expensive). Clean, quiet, nice kitchen.

A great compromise for accommodation in Copenhagen. It is a hostel so rooms with single or bunk beds, normal bathroom. There's no soap or shampoo, one towel.

The good: * Really handy location. It's only a 5 minute walk in a straight line from the city center, which makes it very easy to get to. * It's a tall and relatively slim building, which means you've a good chance of getting an amazing city view (we got the 12th floor, and it was brilliant from up there), and your room won't be more than a few footsteps from the elevators. * It's quiet, very modern, generally very nice, and has great staff * The games room is fun The not-so-good * 10am checkout * Had to fit our own linen to the bed (although this point is forgivable, since it's part of why they're able to offer such a good prices) * No shower gel / shampoo provided. Not a major issue (and, again, part of what enables them to provide such good prices), but be wary of that if you're planning on having a shower as soon as you arrive, after a long day's travelling. Overall though, we were really glad we booked this place. I'll definitely look to stay here again.

Really nice and clean hostel with great prices, especially if you choose to share the room. The personnel was great, helped me with the luggage on the first day and gave me a lot of useful informations. Really well organized hostel, in a very much central position and at a wonderful value/cost.

Clean and well equipped, only snag at the reception, we do not ask you systematically if you are membreH. I. And it is not specified that breakfast and cheaper if you pre-ordered it at the reception. Otherwise impeccable.

Danhostel is a great budget hostel. It is very centred in copenhagen. With a great view over copenhagen, and a nice bar to enjoy a drink, this has everything you need, if are not looking for anything fancy. The staff are friendly, and quick. The breakfast is a little disappointing, but with the location, it is easier and better to just find a café in the area.

Relatively clean rooms. The best thing is the mattress. The price is within the expected. Nordic atmosphere (i. E. With custom-made hospitality, nothing exceptional).

It was good, the rooms are good for the price, problems The breakfast room is far too small compared to the number of people present in the hotel and the parking lot is very dilapidated.

Of the cheapest we have found to visit the city (trying to be as central as possible). Functioning as a hostel. They give you your sheets to make you the bed. Sencillito rooms with small beds and no cabinets. The top floors are great views of the whole city. Good breakfast buffet (you pay a plus) where you can even try varieties of worms!

My room had a pretty great view, accompanied by clean beds, a clean and spacious bathroom, and other amenities. The service staff were very nice and friendly, which made the stay more worthwhile. The location is also pretty nice, although it is quite a bit of a walk away from the nearest bus stops and train station. Facilities are pretty modern too, and they provide pretty great food.

Great value for money, considering the prices of Copenhagen. Basic but very large rooms and bathroom with separate shower from toilet and sink (not obvious in Denmark). To be frequented by young boys has also proved quite silent on the floors.

Cheap hostel 10 minutes walk from downtown. Very clean. Beds a little small.

The room was clean, they gave it one for four even though there were two of us. It was a little sparse but functional. The bathroom small but sufficient. The sheets a bit dirty and bed a little awkward. But for the price more than acceptable.

My private double bedroom was a regular 4-people bedroom with 2 less people. The bed is like a sofa bed, and you have to make it yourself. Shower had no pressure and didn't get hot enough. The bar had some strange, experimental expressionist electronic music on Saturday night. Huge queues for the lift in checkout hours. Location, however, was on point.

Very well located, we should not forget that this is a hostel and in that case it is great. Our views from the room were stunning. The room for two was fine, with its own bathroom.

They put it as a hostel but it is rather a hotel, good location, breakfast is worth it. We were on the 10th floor and had a super view of the city. I came out very happy.

Stayed at the Danhostel multiple times over many years. Including other locations within their network. Cannot fault them. Very clean rooms and sheets. Fully stocked breakfast each morning. Friendly and very helpful staff. Has always been my main choice to stay when visiting the city.

Hostel in the city centre. Beautiful views of the city from the height of the 13th floor on which we lived. A spacious room and a toilet shower. The room is designed for 6 people, but we booked it for two. The bed is comfortable, the underwear is white. Cleaning the room once a day. Easy and quick decoration on the reception. The staff are friendly. Language from communication is English. You can order breakfast. The buffet. The food is delicious. In the evening you can sit in the bar. High-quality Wi-Fi.

It is a nice place but there were some things that I didn't like. 1. The reception gives you sheets to set your bed yourself…! 2. They give you just one body towel. They don't give you one for body, one for hair and one for feet. 3. The rooms have cream soap for hands but… you have to buy the shampoo from the reception. It is not expensive, less than 2 euros but… still you have to go down to and buy it. Really silly.

Great place to stay. The people working at the hostel were awesome! They had answers for all of our questions. Good location to everything, shops, food, attractions and central station. Great breakfast, I would recommend getting it. We had purchased 2 days of breakfast, but had to catch an early train, so we couldn't use the 2nd days breakfast, staff was more than accommodating to make us a bag lunch for the train ride instead of us not using the breakfast ticket. The bar was accommodating for a beer, cocktail after a day of sight seeing. Room was nice, bathroom was very modern, bed (s) was a little firm for my taste. Room was clean upon arrival. The down filled comforter was very warm, pillows were down filled and very soft. Over all VERY VERY pleased with the hostel!

A very modern hostel with an automated elevator activated by your room key. Right near Tivoli gardens and within walking distance from the main train station.

Not your average hostel. Much more like a hotel than a hostel and is very large. Kind of far from most of the fun stuff in Copenhagen but the rooms were pretty clean.

This place has everything you'd expect from a hostel. 24h reception, easy check-in, young crowd, a lot of backpackers. The prices are alright. Bar is only open until about midnight. Wifi is exceptionally great (by German standards). Cleanliness is okay.

On my trip to Sweden/Denmark the only establishment where I regret to have set foot… and degrade the image so positive of the other hoteliers of these countries that I had the chance to meet.
A reception in the morning meeting our requirements (accommodation for the entire colony restarts so that no settler is alone in a room) to arrive in the evening and a new caller returns to this arrangement.
In the end, only one attendant was able to sleep on the same place as the children and some of them were completely isolated (the monitor was unable to access the other floors of the hotel than that of his room because of the secured lifts…).

It's more a hotel than a hostel, so if you're not really into the social aspect that normally comes with a hostel, this is your place. Very clean and professional, good staff, good location. The lights in the bathroom don't stay on (motion activated), so have fun taking late showers.

A good solution to sleep in Copenhagen. Simple but family rooms with small private bathroom. Top, good breakfast. Don't forget shower gel and soap.

Fantastic accommodation that is central, comfortable, clean and cheap. More of a no-frills hotel than a hostel. On-site bar and breakfasting facilities are great. Rooms have comfy beds (we have two single beds and four bunks in our private family room) and good showers. If you want daily maid service, towel swans and a chocolate on your pillow at bed-time, this place is not for you. However, if you would rather spend your hard-earned cash on a canal tour or a trip to Tivoli Gardens, this brilliant budget accommodation is definitely worth a try. We'll be back!

A hostel that gives you a hotel feel. The rooms are nice and clean, not cramped and you can pay a little extra to have a view. The building is many stories tall, so the view is definitely worth it as you can look out over the whole city! Rooms feature modern bathrooms and there is the possibility of keeping your luggage in the basement after check out if needed. There is also a small Cafe/bar in the lobby area with very friendly staff. I've stayed here three times and I can only recommend Danhostel!

Perfect location to get around the centre of Copenhagen on foot or by bike. We booked a private room with bathroom. The room was spacious, spartan and clean and also the bathroom was functional but clean and recent. The breakfast was very good and the room was hurt… not something Sweeter!

Efficient, clean, economical.

This is a really great place to stay in the center of Copenhagen… I highly recommend it if you need a reasonably priced place for a large group… Just remember this is a hostel not a hotel so a lot of the traditional amenities are not present. We just use it as a place to sleep and eat and then spend our days and evenings exploring the city… And it works beautifully for that!

DanHostel was definitely the most, modern, stunning Hostel, i´ve ever been. It´s more a Business Hotel, than a Hostel. And this is the point … In my opinion the charme of a hostel is not really given and the price (i know Copenhagen is an expensive city) is also more hotel like. We love to travel simple and cheap — Dan Hostel is the most expensive Hostel i´ve ever stayed. Of course you get all the luxury there, like Bars, Wi-Fi, own Bathroom and so on. Nothing I am looking for.

Great location, friendly staff, everything clean, tidy & comfortable. The missing star hasn't much to do with the hostel, but the atmosphere. There were big groups of kids/teens hanging around almost everyday jamming up the lobby. But I would stay again.

Danhostel Copenhagen City is one of hostels I loved. Clean, friendly staffs, safety, centrally location on H. C. Andersens Boulevard, not far from the City Hall and Tivoli Gardens. Here is quite a big hostel because there are almost 200 rooms. But you can choose many kinds of rooms, its separate male and female.

Perfect location for a stay in Copenhagen. Staff are excellent and extremely helpful. There's a nice little bar and also a playroom with toys and books for kids. Pretty decent buffet style breakfast too.

The communal areas are really good (bar, playroom for childrens) and location is quite central. However, mattresses, pillows and duvets felt like they needed to be changed and Wi-Fi in rooms does not work during busier times (after 5PM). In general there may be large groups, so it tends to be really crowded for breakfasts. The lifts system is not smooth as it should, so you may wait for a lift for a couple of minutes (or more! ). As a young family I would not recommend it, but it is probably a good place for young people (it's a hostel after all! ).

I loved this Hostel. We were there for 5 days. We took a room for 6 and we were 3, but we were always alone. The keys are electronic. You have free use of the kitchen with all utensils. Perfect if you have a few soups and dinner hot. Breakfast buffet for less than € 10. Next to the railway station and Tivoli amusement park. Very close to the Centre and Christiania.
The view from the Hostel are impressive to be one of the tallest buildings in the area.

Good rooms, they want to make the hotel but are just a hostel.

Worst hostel I have ever visited. We called and the girl told us the price was 155 DKK and we didnt need to make a reservation as there would definitely be enough room. When we arrived at 2am another staff member was there and told us we would unfortunately need to pay 550 DKK as we didnt have a reservation, but that we were of course free to try and find another hostel (in which we would not succeed at that time). The room was a shared room with 4 people, which would never be a problem, but it is not quite right for 80 euros. Luckily there was a decent breakfast included. Cheers for that at least!

Staffs are nice and helpful. Walking distance to train station and city center. Room is clean. You need to pay to leave your luggage when you check out, which is the only one star I deducted from the rating.

Currently under construction in the lobby (therefore less a star). Correct home. The rooms are clean and the bathroom. With the work the lift system is slow. Possibility to keep the luggage surcharge. Check-out is 10: 00 with possibility of extension at 1 pm with a supplement. Towel provided.

Too crowded with classes of school children that make a normal breakfast impossible. Therefore difficult to be a good place for adults. Room was okay, but a reconstruction in the hall was going on about which we were not informed. One bigg mess.

It's ok place to stay because you can walk easily around. However it is not close to metro. It's close to train station though. Compared to other hostels I would call it pricy and on the negative side the poor internet and the extra charge for foreign credit cards.

Functional, clean, efficient, Central, staff was unobtrusive and yet useful.

The rooms are small and clean, but I would believe that they were established by a famous Danish designer (as the hostel claimed on his website). The bathroom is also not very big, but the unpleasant smell that rises after using the shower from the drain and the heavily calcified shower head apart in order.
Breakfast is expensive and the buffet is situated directly in the large kitchen, which gives the whole feeling of the canteen. (Think of the price), is a boldness that you should abräumen then his dishes self. The lack of space at the main time is also unpleasant.
The beds are not very hard or very soft fine, and in the room there are ample electrical outlets.
There's also free Wi-Fi (as specified on the site throughout the hotel), reception and speed are but rather miserable.
The comforts which one comes in the lift and the room, striking unfortunately all too gladly.

Pros: I stayed here on two different occasions. It has an excellent location, very close to Tivoli, Strøget and Islands Brygge, and many other sights and sounds. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean and simple. Free Wi-Fi all throughout the hostel (at least when I was there in August 2013). Cons: It's a little bit pricey if you plan on renting a room. On busy days it takes a while to check in and get your stuff sorted out. The breakfast there is not complimentary, I think it was about 40kr for a plate, and around an extra 10kr for coffee. All in all it was a good experience. I would stay here again.

I was a guest at this hostel in September 2011. The location is very good, because the railway station as well as all sights (Tivoli, Christiania, City Centre, Little Mermaid) are very easy to reach on foot or by bike. Also a bike station at the bicycles can be borrowed, which can again be placed at various locations in the city is located directly in front of the hostel.
The rooms were clean and newly decorated. Everything was intact and functional. Also the bathroom was clean and relatively new. The cleaning lady came within a week but only once, and has cleaned the room and bathroom. Because we were four girls and always with street shoes walked in and out, it would have been nice, would be been wiped out a couple of times more often.
The individual floors were accessible via a lift. Each guest got a chip card with which he could get off only on his floor. So that can walk around made sure no strangers in the hotel. I found it very good, because it has a very secure feeling and it also times could leave open the door to his room, if you now briefly over there went in the other room.
Throughout the building, there was Wi-Fi, this one easily could log in with the laptop and the cell phone.
On the ground floor there are a bar and breakfast area. In both areas we could stay well. The breakfast was simple, ok but when compared to other hotels for the price quite.
There was bread, cheese, sausage and various cereals.

I've just stayed here with 5 other friends for a weekend. The room was clean and with a great view over the entire city. The staff was friendly and the kitchen was nice to have instead of paying for the breakfast buffet. As I understood internet was free but I didn't try it out — however I noticed there was signal all to the 15th floor where we lived. The hostel have a great location and I wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend it to others.

Well lets see, the location is the high point. They claim to be friendly and have internet. The staff were not genuinely friendly and they might as well not have internet because it is unusable. The building is relatively new but it was not clean. The cleaner spent a total of 15 seconds cleaning our room. And the kitchen was disgusting and small for the number of guests. They boast it is the largest hostel in Europe, but definitely not the best. There was no comfortable area to relax, read, converse or just chill out. I would not stay here again as they fail to deliver on their claims of friendliness, cleanliness, and usable internet.

I didn't find the bedroom clean. The kitchen, situated in the lower ground floor, is small, filthy and bad equipped. Even the chairs are unclean there. And you can't get access to it until you pay for your stay. There is a single ping-pong table for all the hostel. Internet access is very expensive. After one single night, I decided to leave for another hostel.

I was not satisfied with the hostel, was 2 years ago. The location is of course good, well there can be reached from the station on foot. What not so liked: the whole atmosphere is very impersonal, it is simply a giant hostel and staff are also limited helpful. Internet and breakfast are very expensive, which is why I've waived. The overnight stay is of course not exactly cheap. I think I paid ca 25 Euro per night in the 8-seater room. The beds were at that time still very new and comfortable – a plus. Refer to self — must hostel just. You get a smart card which you can use to open his room. Unfortunately, you can map only to the floor where it lives. To visit other people, not so suitable and well intended, to avoid room parties. The bathroom has not really much room for 8 persons and their things, but clean. I stayed two nights. After one night, I had to change the room. The first night I was in a room with loud Asian girls, that was quite funny. The second night was I can't stay there only and had to move in a room with 7 strangers. In the bed next to me, he was already drunk with his beer cans there. Just quickly away. The next morning I stepped first in a puddle of yellow, prefer want don't know whether beer or urine and am quickly the foot rinse to grab things and get out of here. I found it unpleasant the only woman in a 8 rooms to be and also very unnecessary from the hostel. In the off-season, there soo much is free.
