For anyone looking for a Danish getaway without a lot of hassle, Ruths is ideal: A classic beach hotel with a traditional breakfast dining room, fine room service, a brasserie with French-inspired cuisine open for lunch and dinner, a cozy lobby/lounge with a four-sided fireplace, a spa — with a masseuse who gives a hot stone massage that leaves you feeling reborn — and with sauna, steam room and a therapy pool in which you can float and see the moon through the skylights as the wind howls outside. And all located among dunes by the Atlantic ocean.
In addition, the hotel knocked themselves out to serve me vegan food that they prepared deliciously; it was only necessary to give them a heads up when making the reservation.
This is the third time my husband and I — together with our two dogs — have vacationed at Ruths, and we have been delighted each time.

Underwhelming! First they tried to give us another room than booked. After half an hour I complained (after checking details). But the receptionist even told us openly that she had to do it, because the other room type was sold out. They ended by upgrading us to a much better room, but she should have informed us upon checkin, instead of hoping that we wouldn’t notice. The wellness department is very small and we tried far far better, at other hotels, with fewer stars. Also cleaning was sub-standard. The breakfast is good, but not extraordinary. In general it seems that this is snobbish hotel, where value and price doesn’t match.

I ate dinner here. Great food! Very nice location and atmosphere too. There is one of those huge chairs hanged up by a rope, I don’t know how they’re called, but they are amazingly comfortable.

A wonderful stylish hotel. Nothing is too much for the lovely staff. The food is absolutely delicious and the setting is just perfect.

Really good Hotel. At Dinner, though, we were kind of forgotten. We had to go to the Restaurant to pay. I think a Star is more realistic.

Have only tried the morning bread and the coffee, but it's very delicious, though a little expensive.

Ruth's hotel restaurant was wonderful and Skagen a delight. Hope to come here again!

Amazing hotel and restaurant and the best service ever.

My parents-in-law celebrated their Golden Jubilee wedding anniversary at Ruth Hotel on 26 August 2017. Apart from the romantic story of meeting at this Hotel 50years ago, we were eager to have the family celebration here due to its reputation as the Best 5 Star Hotel possibly in Denmark! We were not disappointed.

Very beautiful place. Very cosy.

Visited the restaurant for a lunch. The French cuisine is well made, full of flavour and served by friendly waitors. Could come again.
