B & B Gødstrup - cafe og restaurant Den Gamle Stald

Super nice staff, good service and good food.
The only reason why I "only" give 4 stars is that on booking. Com we had payment on arrival, but on the day (before arrival) we received an SMS from the B&B that we had to pay as soon as possible or we would lose our reversion, we thought it was a fraud number from outside and contacted B&B countless times on the 2 phone numbers given, but no one answered the phone and until dd. Have we also not received a reply to the emails we sent?

Excellent place, the rooms were really good, good staff and good food.
Very cozy place if you need an overnight stay after you have been to Boxen.

Then it became the restaurant and Café den gamle stald in Gødstrup v Herning. Super nice place which is located right next to the new large hospital. Outside, there are beautiful buildings and it really is when you step inside, it's not that big but really nice and cosy. We were greeted by a smiling young lady and shown to a table. As usual, a steak sandwich with gravy was ordered and told that they did not need to skimp on the gravy. Order placed at 12.45 and the food was served at 13.08. Nice time. The food presented itself ok on the plate, as in previous reviews, I have tried significantly nicer and significantly uglier. First thought was, where is the sauce?. Well, the food must be judged. First mouthful, the sauce is almost COLD What. Well, just a few minutes later one of the nice young ladies came and asked how the food was and it was commented that the sauce was cold. She apologized many times and offered new food. But there was no reason for that, but we got a big bowl of HOT sauce that we could pour over ourselves. The gravy tasted fantastic when it was hot and the wife said it was one of the best she had tasted, I partly agree. The brioche bun tasted as it should and at the bottom there was some beetroot which had been diced and fussy about. In addition, there was ketchup, remoulade, some mustard and cucumber salad. All pre-fabricated. The steak was a 200 gram Børge and it tasted great, nice meat and cooked perfectly. On top of the bun was some raw onion.

With good food, polite staff and cozy rooms where you feel at home, I can only recommend B&B gødstrup. Here is a very cozy atmosphere compared to hotels you can find for the same price.
