We arrived around 2 a. M. As planned. I had called in advance to confirm, and I was told the keys would be waiting in an envelope on the table outside the reception. There was nothing there.
I called the number several times – no answer. Finally, after a break, someone picked up on the fourth attempt and came over. The lady who showed up was extremely rude and claimed there was no reservation for us – period. I explained that I had confirmed it by phone. Only after I showed her the confirmation email did she admit, “Oh, yes, there it is. ” No apology, no warmth – just cold attitude.
The cabin we got (one of the most expensive options) was dirty. The mattresses smelled like vomit, there was dust and grime everywhere, and I had to scrub the shower myself using Domestos because it was so filthy.
But what really ruined the whole experience was the owner’s behavior – completely unprofessional and hostile. Her attitude left the worst impression of all and made what should’ve been a relaxing stay truly unpleasant.
Honestly, it was one of the worst camping experiences we’ve ever had. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.
Randboldal Camping is located not far from Legoland Billund, in Jutland Peninsula, in Denmark.
The rate quality/price is good. It includes a discount to Legoland and Givskud Zoo. The accommodation has all you need, especially the little kitchen. The eating-room/kitchen is big and nice, the double bed is comfortable. The outside is big and there is a children's park and aquatic zone, appropriate for children.
On the other hand, the house cleaning can be improved, especially the bathroom. The house is a bit old. The bunkbed room is a bit small and the bunkbeds are uncomfortable. The shared zones like the lake can be improved.

This campsite is amazing! It's a well run family campsite (apartments, treehouse, moblie homes tents etc) with lots to do for kids and adults. Swimming, waterslides, Swan pedalos, billards, table tennis, trampolines and playground in a beautiful rural setting, close to many tourist activities such as legoland, the zoo, wow park and blas brewery.
The treehouse was spotless and had all amenities and space needed for my family of 10. We catered for ourselves most nights but ate in the restaurant on the last night and the food was delicious buffet spread of slow cooked meats and sides.
Would highly recommend this campsite!
