Hotel Koldingfjord

Majestic hotel. Great location and wonderful staff. Room is spacious. The annex in which we stayed was some distance from the main building but the area is pretty enough. Breakfast is good, but busy at times.
Two concerns: it gets very hot on the top floor without airconditioning (35 degrees inside, 23 outside…). It would not be a luxury. And the restaurant was fully booked because of a party but we could order room service and eat on the terrace. Great, but the room service charge seems a bit misplaced if you need to pick up the food yourself.
However, these are small comments as we really enjoyed our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Koldingfjord. The hotel is beautifully situated right by the water, offering a picturesque setting – especially from the rooms with a lake view. The interior is elegant and well-maintained, the bed very comfortable, and the bathroom modern and clean. The staff was always extremely friendly and attentive.
Special highlights include the lovely indoor pool and the spacious terrace, perfect for relaxing.
However, the breakfast was a bit of a letdown: the coffee served in the pots was quite poor, and espresso-based drinks like cappuccino or latte cost extra – which doesn’t quite match the otherwise high standard of the hotel. The restaurant was also a bit overpriced in our opinion. In the evening, parking spots can become a bit scarce.

We also really liked the cool art paintings made by an artist that were hanging everywhere in the hotel.

We stayed here for our wedding weekend. It felt luxurious and the staff was lovely. Would absolutely recommend for any special event. The location is easy to get to from the town especially with a car but far enough removed that it feels extra calm and cozy.

This hotel was very nice — the staff were super helpful when I forgot my power adapter and had exactly what I needed to borrow. There were so many lovely comfortable spaces around the hotel and beautiful walking trails around outside. The food was very good and staff very attentive. The hotel room was perfectly comfortable with a beautiful view.

Delightful location on the Kolding fjord. You can swimming off the dock! We stayed in the upper annex, which is an adventure. There's an elevator in the center of the hill. There isn't anything to eat if the restaurant is full or you decide it's too expensive. Bring food and have a picnic! There's no way to avoid dragging your luggage quite a ways and up at least some stairs. The signage is negligible and there's no assistance with much. You're on your own, which likely suits most folks fine.

What a fantastic place from the minute you arrive. It doesn’t get better than sitting outside for a pre dinner drink overlooking the fjord on a beautiful sunny early evening 😁dinner superb and staff wonderful, bedrooms good with a view of the fjord, highly recommend, and electric car chargers.

It was okay but a bit to expensive. Great atmosphere and building directly at the water. The room was old and the beds really short. On the terrace we were not served for over 15 minutes and some personal were not very kind. We skipped the dinner and went to town (great Italian restaurant near the train station). In the early morning was a lot of unnecessary noises (truck did not stop motor to unload). Breakfast was good but overall I would not recommend with this prices.

Pretty steep price, for one night, but absolutely worth it on special occasion, if you are lucky with the weather like I was. The view is absolutely amazing, and it makes the entire stay very relaxing. I'm sure that it's still alright if it's raining for example, but I'd say for that price I might be a bit disappointed with my stay if the weather wasn't nice. So I feel like it's a bit too dependant on wather in my opinion.

Superb hotel, and one of the better ones I've had to pleasure to visit in my lifetime. Excellent scenery and fantastic service. The rooms looked newly renovated, well cleaned and with a good bed. Hotels in the same price range does not even come close in Norway, my home country. Highly recommend!

We spent a great day and night at this beautiful hotel. The staff was very friendly, the rooms clean and very nice, room service offers great meals, which we took on the upper terrace and drinks from the "honestly bar". We did not miss anything and will return for sure.

Great location to stay. Hotel initially looks nice but we found too many minus points. After a long trip we arrived 14:30 on a Sunday, so 30 minutes prior official check in time, our room wasn’t ready in spite their where no other guests around. We were ask to wait for readiness, no questions ask if we would like a water or coffee. Rooms are fine but very basic without AC instead a fan. Breakfast very basic, poor coffee, self service like an office canteen. Cappuccinos etc. Required to pay additional. Instant powder coffee in room, pfff! I believe management prefers conferences attended by many no question ask. Rates, booked on website hotel (guaranteed best rate) but discovered that Booking. Com offered 15😣% lower prices same room. Reception dropped suddenly price to match!? Heavy luggage, service not available in spite of many stairs to reception check in and room in annex nice building. In short sorry but no value for money in spite of the beautiful sunshine.

This place is amazing. I miss this peaceful place. I went here last year during this time of the year and stayed for 3 nights. ❣ lovely place! lovely food, lovely people, very accommodating staff.
