Fanø Krogaard

I was here for a Coffee and a Tea. Wonderful view to a sandbank with seals and verry good Service.

The hotel is a really nice spot but the service is unorganized and the rooms are basic. We booked a large room with Terrasse — all of them are directly attached to the parking slot. The rooms are basic, no air conditioning, no safe, TV only danish. The service is weird, you need to book a slot for breakfast in a small boutique hotel, no buffet, three choices to be made the day before to be placed in the Wintergarten, where the table are so small that they don‘t fit the food. They ask you to put your breakfast on the chairs. At the end the window cleaner is cleaning the Wintergarten during breakfast and the gardener is burying grass right outside. On the question if this is appropriate, the answer is ‚that is the way we do it here‘. Same at dinner, on a seafood restaurant there seefood was out but they offered the left overs. That is the way they do it. Your choice — for this experience it is highly overpriced as the hotel is placed at the Main Street to the Harbour not at the nice side of the island.

Lovely place to stay on the island. The breakfast was wonderful and so much that we could barely finish it. We also had our dinner here and weren't disappointed. Prices are above the average but worth it. Very good food quality, fresh ingredients and lots of homemade sauces. Rooms are very cute and decorated with love. Service was fast and attentive. Highly recommend!

Excellent hôtel with very good breakfast a la carte. Very good restaurant too. Traditional Danish food is served with culinary touches. Very convenient location. Pet friendly (service 🐕‍🦺 provided only in few rooms).

We had dinner at this delightful restaurant, choosing to sit inside rather than overlooking the water. The food was excellent. We shared a starter of profiteroles with ham and mushrooms. I enjoyed the fish of the day, plaice in caper and brown butter sauce served with new potatoes. My husband’s choice of pork, topped with a crispy green vegetable, was delicious. We both had crème caramel, which was served with raspberries and sorbet. It was such a lovely evening, in a semi-formal setting but a relaxed atmosphere. The service was efficient and friendly.

Our expectations was high, but we all 4 was a little disappointed. The taste experience and the quality on the plate was both low. If the price was lower my rate will be higher.
The ingredients was fine but with no "wauw" effect. In my opinion"bakskuld" in a restaurant, should be without bones!

We visited Fanø Krogaard for lunch and had an excellent experience. Both presentation and taste were great, with a refined yet not pretentious touch on the Danish classics. I had a tartar, salmon with creamy potatoes, caramelised apples with pastry and ice-cream, and some of the best bread I've tasted in Denmark. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. Service was fine, although not exceptional. Would definitely come back next time I'm in Fanø.

This is an absolutely outstanding hotel in every respect. For me, the location was incredible because we had views straight on to the seals on the sandbank in front of the hotel. The rooms were gorgeous, the dinner delicious and the selection of wine extremely good. Unfortunately we were only able to stay for one night rather than for three because one member of our party had a medical emergency, but the staff were amazingly kind and helpful in this crisis. I will definitely come back.
