Hages Badehotel

We stay here every summer as a stop over when we travel from the UK to Sweden and back again. The cabins are comfortable and clean, with everything you need. The restaurant is lovely and the breakfast is fantastic too. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend!

Rooms are super clean, nice ambiance at this hotel. Great to have a little kitchen available in the room. A perfect stay for one night on way to or from Germany with the ferry. We didn't book the restaurant in advence and it was therefore full, but found take away food in the village, a short bike ride away. The kids loved the pool.

Simply wow! I was driving and did not get involved into the finding the spot/booking it which added that extra wow factor upon arrival. Building this place on the marsh was a different type of experience, one that I won't forget and gladly return to. Very friendly staff, great english!
Also gotta give some credit to the lovely swallow and their nest just above our balcony and gave us quite a show in the morning. 😍

Had a nice stay overall! The food was great and the hotel had a lovely atmosphere. The only downsides were a few insects in the room and no personal air conditioning, which made it a bit warm at times.

Stayed there for 3 days total. It's very quiet which I liked. The staff was very nice, no issues with communicating in English. I booked without the breakfast option, so I cooked for myself. Sadly there weren't any small bowls for cornflakes in my room, just a mixing bowl. Could I've asked for a small bowl? Yes. But I just used what was in the room. But I just found it odd that there wasn't any. I also found the height difference of the kitchen table and the sitting area rather odd. I basically had the table top directly on my legs, meaning the height difference between the sitting area and table was very limited. I had to hunch over when eating on the table. I'm a normal sized 1.65m tall woman. So I opted for eating on the sofa instead. The room was clean, including the bathroom. I didn't visit the pool, so nothing I can say about that. Lots of parking spaces. The price is absolutely fine.

We arrived with a late ferry, desperate for somewhere decent to stay not too far away, and literally stumbled upon this little gem. Although they had already in fact closed for the night for bookings, they took us in — even with a discount and included breakfast (with delicious smørrebrod and all you could ask for really). Kuros Hage! The rooms could have been slightly cleaner, but had all the necessities. Comfy bed, cozy interior and a nice shower. We left the place well rested and with our stomachs full!

We stayed here for our wedding and absolutely loved it! The hotel is gorgeous and the service was amazing. I highly recommend eating at their restaurant and using bikes to explore nearby! We can't wait to return :)

Very mixed feeling about the place.
I LIKE: the location is great and the architectural concept is modern and blends into nature very well.
I DON'T LIKE: typical for the Nordic countries I would say that the are underserviced and understaffed. And they only offer a rather uncomplete approach to service and facilities. Our main frustration was to lack of restaurant capacity … a few guests and hosting a party and the ridiculously small restaurant was full … and we were left to feed once more on take-away.
Anywhere else in the world they would have had a restaurant capacity in relation to the number of rooms … and they would have set aside capacity for hotel residents.
But that is asking too much in the Nordics where they simply turn you away with a gentle smile … but still you are turned away.
Nevertheless the accommodation is great but in terms of food … I recommend you bring your own.

Stopped here overnight en route to Germany. Minutes from the ferry yet very calm and secluded. The cabins are beautiful and the layout across the marshland is stunning. We loved all the plants, wild flowers and ducks. Unfortunately it was blowing a gale when we stayed so we couldn’t make use of the two seating areas which was a shame but they both looked great.
Dinner in the restaurant was of very high quality and the service friendly.
Bring tea/coffee/milk to use the facilities in the cabin kitchen.

Loved it! Worth the money! A lot of mosquito and a lot of spiders though, but it was fine 😊 we did not see before we booked it that we need to take our trash out ourselves, kind of weird. The TV cannot be turned so it is not possible to lay in bed and watch it, you need to sit in the sofa. Water floods on from the shower but doesn't go out of the room, one universal soap, would be nice to have a fan or aircondition. Restaurant is the best, missing music though, breakfast is good.

The hotel is located in a nice area and is convenient for a stopover when traveling by ferry. Unfortunately, I hit my head so many times on the heavy and sharp lamp installed too low in the room that I forgot the charms of the hotel. It is very unfortunate and dangerous.

Absolutely incredible value for money badehotel that isn't yet a badehotel while the new beach is being constructed! A lovely place, all the individual huts are site on wetlands which are now full of lovely wild blooms and grasses. A remarkable close to nature feel, with coots, frogs and dragonflies visiting your balcony. Great small pool and sauna area, and a relaxed welcoming place that in another location could be an overpriced snobby affair. Plenty of car charging points including a 60Kw fast charger, free bikes to borrow and explore the coastline. Loved our stay here.

I entrusted my clothes to be washed, and when I got them back, they had all shrunk a size. I didn't receive any compensation because they claimed they weren't responsible. Don't trust them.

Great staff, but a bit more spiders than last time. Also the room was too warm, I couldn’t find any a/c in the room but it was still ok.

A complex of apartments situated on top of a swamp, providing incredible contact with nature. Apartments are beautifully decorated with views of the lake. The receptionist was very kind. We loved the food at the restaurant and found it to be of high quality (just didn't quite enjoy the dessert). A nice breakfast, but nothing extraordinary. The apartment bathrooms are very small, but they have all the necessary amenities and are modern. There's an outdoor pool and a sauna. I think the cherry on top would be if they had an indoor pool with heated water. The hotel is pet-friendly, which was a great plus. We loved it and will return.

Terrible reception: the receptionists were apparently very busy in conversation with 2 customers who were sipping wine. They gave us annoyed looks as if we were a nuisance. After a short wait, the receptionist pointed us out to her colleague in a rather rude manner. This is one of the many cases in which a hotel is conceived as an appendage of a restaurant without adequate professionalism. This is not a badehotel but a series of cottages on stilts in a swamp. We are very far from Scandinavian design.

The hotel is modern and. Comfortable. A central building includes all facilities. The rooms are located in standalone bungalows. Every bungalow contains two rooms. Rooms are comfortable, including a small kitchenette. Rooms are absolutely silent, you don't hear your neighbours. Beds are comfortable. Staff is friendly.
