Hotel Hesselet

My recent stay at this hotel was truly impressive across multiple aspects. The accommodations exceeded my expectations, starting with the spacious and immaculately clean rooms that provided a comfortable and relaxing environment.
The dining experience was a standout feature. The dinner was exceptional, showcasing high-quality cuisine that would rival top restaurants. Complementing this was an incredibly generous breakfast spread that offered a wide variety of options to start the day right.
What truly elevated the entire experience was the staff. Their politeness and helpfulness were remarkable, demonstrating a commitment to guest satisfaction that made the stay even more enjoyable. From check-in to check-out, every interaction was pleasant and professional.

Note: We did not use the pool and sauna, but looked very good :)

We were treated excellent. We arrrived very late and we got an extended check out. Very helpful, kind, and accommodating. We would stay there again.

Excellent service, excellent people, excellent beach view and walking paths. Total win.

PROS:
+ Gorgeous attention to detail; everything from the taps to the carpets feels polished and beautifully designed.
+ The views! The windswept seascape looks like something right out of a novel.
+ Even a basic room is spacious.
+ Soft bedding and crisp linens.
+ Service is impeccable.
+ Definitely take a meal at the restaurant, which features very fresh ingredients. Also friendly for vegetarians.
+ Was there for a conference, and the rooms for presenting are warm and inviting.
CONS:
— The closet in my room backed up to the closet in another room, so I could hear quite loudly their hangers, open/closing doors and drawers, etc.
BOTTOM LINE.
Utterly charming. Feels both as if you are stepping away from the hustle-bustle, while maintaining a connection to modern comforts. Would return in a heartbeat.

Amazing, friendly staff. An upscale hotel where you don’t have to be embarrassed to bring children 🙏 Extremely friendly, competent and service minded team all the way through from reception to waiters. Great food and for once a children’s menu that has actual quality food and not just frozen junk nuggets etc😄 The owner was there when we visited creating a fun atmosphere and making us feel welcome. Travelling alone with a a small child it was such a friendly gesture for him to offer ice cream to my son making him feel very special. What a warm and friendly five star hospitality experience. Keep up the good work 🙏 Will be back.

Overall great hotel and food. Location fantastic for that part of the country. Rooms a bit dated but still nice. Spa decent. Tennis courts terrible and need refurbishment.

Super location with fantastic view. Great kitchen. Maybe eggs freshly fried, rather than scoping it from metal trays as a point for improvement; especially with such fine dining and lunch, breakfast should not stay behind! Nevertheless 5 star.

Hotel claims to have air conditioning. Room temp was in excess of 24C. Despite discussions with front desk, AC was non functional for 3 day stay. We were told to open our balcony door. The numerous nesting and cooing pigeons on the hotel roof made this alternative even less attractive.
Housekeeping quality was marginal. Beds were not made on day 3.
Breakfast service was lacking. A form of foul tasting coffee was served to the table unless we asked for the “different” kind.
Impression is that this hotel is stuck in the 20th century. Rather than impressing guests with great service, it appears management is focused on controlling costs.

A classic superfriendly hotel with — and I know what I’m talking about — the best staff ever. Perfect! 🥂🥂

We spent one night in a nice room, with a great view to the sea. The room was more than enough, with everything we needed (see pictures). We also had dinner there. The food was very good, with different options, and every dish we tried was good. They also had the attention to bring something more appropriate to our 3 years old that is not used to a more fancy way of presenting the food. It was a very pleasant stay that we recommend!

Very good food, nice athmosphere, big and comfortable beds.

Nice location, friendly staff, nice breakfast! The pool and the spa is worth visiting.

I stayed here for one evening after a business meeting but would have loved to stay longer to explore this charming property and what it has to offer along with the surrounding area.
Although an older hotel, the Hesselet is well maintained while keeping its charm. My host who suggested the property said it’s older, but it’s cozy and you will feel taken care of as opposed to being a number at the other large hotel in town. I could not agree more with that statement. Starting with the warm welcome from the front desk to the delightful dinner in the hotel restaurant I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
Breakfast is included in your stay and they do quite a nice job in their main dining room of the traditional European self-service breakfast buffet. This is a private family owned property which was apparent to me throughout my brief stay as everything was done to ensure a quests satisfaction.
I could’ve easily curled up on the loveseat in the room with a good book for hours gazing at the view if I was able to stay for an additional day or two! I will definitely stay here on my next trip to the area.
