We recently had the pleasure of staying at Solbjerggaard with our two boys, and it was an experience that exceeded all our expectations. This hidden gem in the heart of the Danish countryside is the perfect retreat for families seeking relaxation and adventure.
Our room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated, offering a perfect blend of comfort and rustic charm. Each morning, we were treated to a delicious homemade breakfast made with fresh, local ingredients – a highlight of our stay.
One of the standout features of Solbjerggaard is the expansive garden, which our boys absolutely adored. They spent hours exploring the vast space, playing freely, and enjoying the fresh air. The highlight for them was being able to roast marshmallows over an open fire – a magical experience that they still talk about!
But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the warm hospitality of our host, Marie-Louise. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel incredibly welcome and went out of her way to ensure our family had everything we needed. Her thoughtful recommendations for local attractions and dining options helped us make the most of our time in the beautiful Funen region.
Solbjerggaard provided us with a perfect mix of relaxation and family fun. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to unwind and create lasting memories with our boys. We highly recommend this B&B to any family looking for an authentic and heartwarming Danish countryside experience.

Very beautiful and lovely managed B&B in picturesque landscape. The host Marie-Louise makes this place very special, it feels super welcoming and like home. The breakfast is amazing and the garden is just beautiful. Nearby villages are very cute and restaurants offer great food. We went with two kids and they absolutely loved it. The host and her super friendly staff offered a lot of toys and kids supply that made the stay even more comfortable. The place was recently taken over by the new host and the rooms and bathrooms were newly renovated. Sitting in the courtyard or garden with other guests is very relaxing. Enjoyed it so much, will definitly come back. Highly recommend.

We have spent the past few days at Solbjerggaard and truly couldn’t have wished for a more wonderful stay! Solbjerggaard is an absolute dream location! The apartment was beautifully decorated, equipped with everything you could possibly need, and, perhaps most importantly, the bed was incredibly comfortable! The biggest surprise for us was the garden – it’s truly a place to get lost in, and we made good use of the many delightful spots it offers!
Finally, the breakfast (full of delicious local products) was something we looked forward to every day. It was delivered each morning by the incredibly friendly owner, Marie-Louise.
Without a doubt, we’ll be coming back!

Bed and breakfast in a farm which is over 300 years old. We had a very spacious room which was nicely renovated.

Very good B&B in the Faaborg aera, well located to discover the South of Fyn and its islands.

We can't sufficiently praise Peter and Laura. Their b & b, and their adorable cat Findusk, without it sounding like we are exaggerating! But it is absolutely true that we felt "at home" long before we ever even arrived, due to their patience with our many questions and their friendly presentation of information we needed. The building itself, while lovingly preserved for history, has been modernized for comfort and coziness and is wonderful. The breakfast is plentiful, delicious and lovingly prepared (as is is dinner — it is amazing to stay in of an evening and have Peter cook a superb gourmet meal). And the best thing of all is both Peter and Laura's warmth and friendliness. We especially appreciated Peter's taking time every morning to go over maps with us and help us prepare our days biking adventures. Highly recommend Solbjegaard!
