So I had a bit of a disaster in the first morning, I was already rushing and I went into the bathroom and checked "everywhere" and I couldn't find the towel to use for the shower. So I got a shower and needed to use the robes instead. I was pretty annoyed to find out that the towel was behind the door the whole time! I did think it was a bit of a stupid place for it to be however the staff didn't make out to be stupid and just kindly told me where the towel was placed obviously after that point I knew where it was. I would prefer the towel line not be hidden as I've never seen anything like it at the many hotels I've stayed in. Other than that unfortunate situation, the lodge had a very warm atmosphere, lovely smiley staff. I would say the food in the restaurant is a bit expensive but it is really nice. They have a shop for gifts and beauty products etc. The room was cleaned immaculately and the room I had I think it was some kind of grander suite boasts of large sliding french doors and a wooden balcony looking over the beautiful river and surroundings. The room had a big bedroom lots of wardrobes and its own iron and ironing board and I had a living room with a large TV (which I didn't use unfortunately) and a couch and chairs. I wouldn't say the couch was comfortable but it was useful I guess.
All in all I would say this is a brilliant lodge/hotel and would recommend. Kudos to the staff!

Tranquility, luxury, clever design, lots of art. The only disturbance was a fly in the breakfast room for all 5 days of our visit, landing from one food to the other of the buffet. It's potentially hazardous for the health and not a nice sight. Why didn't they try to take it out of room, away from all the food?

One night stay for us. Large suite which was very comfortable and quiet. Rooms might be a little. Sparse and basic but they are comfortable and large. Very airy with good light.
About a mile walk into town along a gravel waterside path.
Breakfast was excellent with a range of quality foods to suit all.

Decent hotel in a very nice location. The breakfast is great quality with a little bit limited number of options. The room is okay, but the bathrooms would require a bit of renovation. The balconies are nice, but they don’t seem to be cleaned thoroughly, there was a lot of spider webs everywhere. The 2-course dinner is a good option, the meals are tasty and enough, although the service can be a bit of a hit and miss. One day it was fast and attentive, the other it was super slow and a bit sloppy. If there is a party at the hotel it can be very disturbing if you try to sleep, especially if the party is right under your room. There are many Clever chargers for hotel guests in case your are coming with an EV.

Amazing view from the room, I didn't want to sleep; watching the sunrise is something everyone should do once a year. Check in quick and friendly, along with the rest of the staff. Restaurant is a good experience, great taste, and awesome wines to match. Was there on business, but I will be returning with my partner soon.

Beautiful located hotel. Rooms are nice, unfortunately we booked one facing the forrest and not facing the water. Staff at front desk very nice. We spend 2 nights at the hotel and dined in both nights. Menu is super short, no vegetarian options. First night I mentioned that I am vegetarian, after a long debate with the chef he was willing to make a vegetarian dish which was nice. My husband had a fish dish which was good but had no vegetables or anything. Second night, almost the same menu as the night before, the chef made a big fuss about cooking vegetarian and ended up a Celery steak. Just a piece of baked celery. I did complain and ended up not paying for it. Waiters were complaining that there was not enough stand around so they had to work too hard. They were running around like crazy. Felt really sorry for them. Great hotel but some work needs to be done to the restaurant.

Must say — really enjoyable! My husband and I were here for a weekend getaway and we can only say really impressed. All details have been thought through — wonderful atmosphere. Fireplace and cosy seating areas. Great food. The room was wonderful — very clean and comfortable. Great bed and perfect bathroom facilities and products to enjoy. Can only give the highest recommendation.
