We (my family and myself) where shocked. I booked the place on a relatively short notice. We were on the way from Gothenburg to Hamburg and wanted to stay just one night. The way it was presented on the booking portal wasn't so bad. I wonder whether these portals actually verify the information which is put in. Sometimes reality looks very different like this time. Outside the place looked let's say ok, not better not worse just ok. I walked into the main entrance of the place and found myself on front of a locked door to the reception. Just that area looked very old. I glanced through the glas reception door and this looked then as it was deserted for month at least. I was somewhat confused. Then after the first shock has settled a guy came out of the adjacent restaurant. So the reception was moved to the restaurant. No sign anywhere though. He gave us then the keys and a Wi-Fi password etc. The usual stuff. The we we going up the creaky staircase to the room There was a very old, rotten, moldy smell. We had the room at the very end of the very dark and tight hallway. Scary…. Pictures of Norman Bates Motel popped in my mind. Then we entered the room and we really were shocked what we saw. A tiny room with only one queen size bed for the four of us. The smell was the same as in the hallway. It looked so old and worn out. We looked at the room and also the bathroom which didn't look much better. Floor looked dirty the shower looked as there was mild in it.
I've only had great experiences at Glamsbjerg Hotel, the food was excellent together with the overall stay, nothing to complain about.

This is an older hotel with creeky floors, but overall the rooms are comfortable. There is good Wi-Fi service. Too bad you can't buy meals a la carte so get meal plan if you want to eat.
