Guldbjerghus bed and breakfast

Most guests describe the owners and staff as very lovely, friendly, and hospitable people who run the property with love. Visitors are warmly welcomed, and the service is rated very highly. However, there has been a contrasting experience: one guest complained that the owner refused to even look at the reported issues in the room.

Guest reviews are sharply divided. Some describe the rooms as spotless ("tip-top") and the property as cozily furnished. At the same time, another guest claimed that the online photos do not match reality, reporting dust on the nightstands, crumbs in the cupboards, as well as a dirty refrigerator, coffee machine, kettle, and a greasy baking sheet in the oven, which forced them to clean and vacuum the room themselves.

The rooms provide basic amenities such as a kettle, coffee machine, and TV, although one review mentions a lack of appliances on the upper floor. Bathroom quality is a matter of debate: while some guests are satisfied, another noted that one of the showers is located under a sloping roof by a window and would only be comfortable for children or adults under 160 cm tall.

It is a very peaceful and quiet place set in the beautiful natural surroundings of the island of Funen, near the town of Bogense. The property features a lovely, well-maintained garden where guests can relax even late into the evening. The building itself has an interesting history, having previously operated as a school and a restaurant.

Yes, guests highlight pleasant welcoming touches upon arrival. In particular, it is mentioned that a glass of delicious wine and snacks were waiting for them in the room at check-in.
