Lille Grynborg

Guest opinions regarding the staff are mixed. Many describe the owners and team members as very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. However, there are also negative experiences: one guest noted an unfriendly check-in with no greeting and a lack of information about the shared kitchen. It was also mentioned that the owners can be somewhat distant, quickly explaining house rules and leaving guests to themselves.

Lille Grynborg offers a delicious and varied breakfast included in the room rate. The menu features classic options: several types of cheese, cold cuts, jams, eggs, and yogurt. Guests note that the breakfast is hearty and inclusive, catering even to those with dietary restrictions. Nonetheless, some guests found the selection limited or noticed a lack of pastries.

Guests note that the meals at Lille Grynborg can be tailored to individual needs; specifically, it was mentioned that a guest with dietary restrictions was able to enjoy a full breakfast. Reviews also praise the quality of food served during family events and special dinners, such as a four-course menu during a port wine tasting.

Sleep quality and soundproofing receive mixed reviews. Most guests are satisfied with the quality of the bedding and the cleanliness of the rooms, describing them as practical. However, there is a complaint regarding a complete lack of soundproofing, which allows conversations and noise to be heard. The furniture in some rooms is described as basic or even slightly worn.

The heating system can be excessive during the summer period. One guest noted that because the rooms were being prepared for colder weather during summer, the room was too hot. Meanwhile, another guest reported that their room (designated for guests with pets) was very cold.

The rooms are equipped with private bathrooms, although some guests found the shower cabins too small or of low quality. A shared kitchen is available for guests who wish to cook their own meals. The grounds feature numerous relaxation areas, including a gazebo, a terrace, a hanging chair, and lawns. Complimentary tea and coffee are also provided.

This property is ideal for families with children. The grounds offer numerous leisure facilities: a large woodland playground, a zip line, a ropes course, a trampoline, and a soccer cage. Children can also interact with farm animals such as horses, donkeys, pigs, cows, rabbits, and chickens.

Pets are allowed, though an additional fee applies. Dedicated "pet-friendly rooms" are allocated for these guests. One guest encountered an issue when trying to switch rooms, as the owners stated there were no other available rooms suitable for accommodating a dog.

Overall, Lille Grynborg features a relaxing, idyllic, and cozy atmosphere that guests liken to scenes from vintage movies. It is an ideal setting for family gatherings, peaceful getaways in nature, and those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The hotel caters to guests who appreciate tranquility, nature, and interacting with animals.
