When checking in the room and particular the bed was very small. We were told to wait for the manager and when talking to her, she just explained that all info about besides were on the homepage. For us it was however not clear and obvious. We got no refund, I can understand that it is not possible to find another guest with short notice but considering that we booked less than 20 hours earlier and that we did not even step into the room, my feeling of the customer care was below than what can be expected.

Immaculate rooms, the fresh made rolls for breakfast are to die for. There are wonderful walking paths along the beach easily accessible.

Loved the setting, the food and the people! Place is close to the beach, which is a delightful walk through the woods (went to visit during the summer, temperature may vary.

A perfect location for a perfect getaway. It's located at this beautiful location near the beach, and the path leading to the hotel in itself is breathtaking. The hosts are friendly and helpful as well. Their food is amazing — from their breakfast (with lots of homemade bread and make your own waffle) to their BBQ grill buffet (spare ribs, sausages). Their rooms are clean and comfortable. Will definitely visit next time I'm in Bornholm!

11/10 Lovely hosts, friendly staff, amazing food, comfy rooms and gorgeous scenery… what's not to love about Hotel Skovly? Especially love the gorgeous beach, a 5 minutes walk away from the hotel through the woods. The local, homemade food is a big bonus, specifically the BBQ Buffet with its pulled pork and grilled ribs, all served hot and fresh from the grill! … Had a wonderful experience and a great time there, so 10/10 will recommend! And definitely will stay there for my next visit in Bornholm!

Paradise would be appropriate to describe Hotel Skovly. Lovely, cozy rooms, surrounded by forests, and the beach is within walking distance. The hosts are extremely friendly and kind. Definitely the place to be for the perfect vacation.

Excellent choice to get rid of daily life, silent and beatiful area, sea shore is so close and houses are nice and clean.

That is Paradise on earth!
I’ve just returned to spend another long wonderful weekend on Hotel Skovly. And I feel again energized.
I feel recharged by the quietness and calmness that you find in the environment, the forest and the ocean, and the relaxed staff, the friendly owners and their happy dogs (okay, they do have a puppy this time, which creates completely unfair competition).
This old hotel is overfloating with the Danish ”hygge” – a phenomenon trending these years. T…he ”hygge” translates almost to cosiness but is much more than that; it’s the core of the Danish national soul, and some have even argued it’s the very reason for us Danes being the happiest people in the world (according to more surveys within the recent years).
I believe it’s true. The hygge is the charger of the human battery, it’s the peace and quiet and the smell of forest, the soft sound of the ocean which is just nearby and it’s the relaxed atmosphere where nobody needs to hurry. The relaxedness is found in all over Bornholm to my experience – but it’s the combination that is so calming.
Apart from this, on the more practical level, the rooms are nice and clean and contains all you need and expect from a hotel this standard. A good bed and a big bathroom, a small fridge and your own terrace if you prefer to sit alone (if not, there’s a huge terrace in front of the house with both sofas and dining tables/chairs).

Really fantastic service, beautiful atmosphere, truly tasty food. Please don't go — you'll just ruin it.
