Hostel One Prague

Only been here for 5 minutes and already can tell it’s amazing — friendly and helpful staff/people, incredibly spacious and clean rooms (way above the standard hostel rooms) and so many activities and stuff to do in the hostel. Favourite hostel so far on my Europe trip.

Hostel One Prague is a fantastic place to stay for solo backpackers! It has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere and great facilities including a full kitchen, lounge area with TV/Netflix, comfortable beds, bar, and gorgeous terrace with some greenery to contrast the old stone city. It’s only a short tram ride to the city centre and is located in its own unique neighbourhood. What set this hostel apart, however, was the staff! From the moment I walked in, I felt like I’d made a bunch of new friends who cared how my day was going and who let me know about upcoming activities. Originally booked for 3 nights, I ended up staying for 6. This place will become your home! Special shoutouts all the way from Canada to Shianne (for great chats&recommendations), Paul (for constantly being a friendly face to talk to and your help at Riverside), Sam (for helping me with tasks beyond the scope of your duties), Millie (for making me feel at home as soon as I walked in the door), Josh (for making me laugh every day without fail), and of course Ekaterini (for your big smiles, our dorm dance parties, and great life chats). 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

My friend and I had such a fun and hilarious time at Hostel One. I don't think I've ever engaged with such a fun hostel staff; I really feel like I got to know a few of them and they were all incredibly welcoming and funny. Shoutout to Tommy, Sam, Jake, Kyle, Johnny, and the guy who was always wearing shorts and the guy with the tattoos! I recommend doing a few of their activities. The pub crawl on our last night was super fun. This is definitely a party hostel (there's a bar downstairs and it is fantastic and fun), but even if that's not your thing, it's easy enough to find quiet spots and there's no real pressure to party (my friend and I probably partied the least haha). The rooms were solid, if not spectacular, but the shower was excellent! :D There are lots of huge clean common spaces. It's in a great location; super easy to get everywhere you need to, with shops, bars, and cafes all around. Strongly recommend it!

Incredible hostel with incredible staff! hats of to Zach and all the employees for making my time here incredible! Theres always something to do and the family dinners are always a bonus! Would deffo recommend :)

Normally I don't bother writing a review, since in my opinion a lot of different things can influence a certain experience, whether you are having dinner in a shabby restaurant or spending the night in the best rated hotel in the city. However, the experience I've had in this hostel confused me so much that, after a lot of thinking, I would like to share my ideas so it won't happen to other backpackers.
First of all, I'd like to compliment the staff. They were great, friendly, interactive with their guests and overall I have no complaints about them. The person I do have a problem with is the guy that I am going to assume is the manager. Me and a friend slept at the hostel for 1 night, and wanted to extend. Everything was fine, until the manager shows up and he says he can't extend our stay. Apparently people complained about us being loud during the night, even though I barely spend the night in my own bed and the hostel profiles itself like a party hostel. So we asked who complained, so we could apologise. He did not exactly know, he said. Then someone from our dorm comes in, we ask him whether we bothered him, he replied that he didn't even notice we were there. This goes on for a while, and no real explanation is given for the fact that we can't stay. All we could think of is that we were chilling in the common room at that moment, drinking vodka at a disputable hour of the day, and my bro was falling asleep on my shoulder.

I appreciate every hostel according to the vibe that is in it.
Here you'll immediately find yourself at ease: incredible atmosphere, always somebody to talk and hang out with, free dinners every night.
The hostel is very cozy, light, clean and well taken care of. Never miss this place when you are in Prague!

Awesome hostel! Staff are great, knowledgeable about the city & fun to hang out with. Take you on nights out & make free family dinner every night. Lots of areas to hang out depending on your mood, bar, lounge, etc. Beds are comfy and bathrooms are clean. Had a great stay, would definitely recommend staying here.

Best hostel I've stayed in across Europe. Free dinner each night and the staff are amazing. Massive shoutout to the Italian Leo who was exceptional in showing us around the town and being as friendly as he was. The hostel had the room prepped early so we were able to check in early (we were so tired so this was perfect). The bar is very cool as well and the vibe of the hostel means that everyone becomes friends very quickly. If you want to actually meet people easily I would highly recommend going to Hostel One Prague! It is number 1 in Europe.
