Old Prague Hostel Hostel

I was supposed to stay in this Hostel l, but the guy at the reception told me they will sent me to the other hostel they have (because they have a problem). The name of that hostel is Old Prague Hostel. I was bitten by bed bugs. My hole body is still full of bites, my face was also swollen because of the bites. First I thought it was mosquitoes, but in the morning I pulled off the blankets of the bed (at the check in they ask you to do that before leaving) and I saw all the bed bugs. When I told the receptionist what I found and showed her how I looked with the bites she just said the only thing she can do is say sorry. I told her that I want my money back because I have to go to the doctor and wash all my clothes and bags so I won't take them back to my house. They said no and didn't give me back my money. I spent 40€ on medicine (many parts ofm body were very swollen) I also spent 30€ in the laundry and 4, 5h there.

Unfortunately we didn’t have a nice experience at all, the host girl was amazing, we had problem with the beds, as they didn’t have an order with the beds a girl just landed in my friends bed and then we had a discussion, the breakfast was simple, the Wi-Fi it’s so slow, sometimes it’s 4 AM and there’s still noisy people in the hostel, or even 7 AM and they’re playing music, wouldn’t recommend it, unfortunately.

Regular, good location but check in is cumbersome thinking it should be easy for travelers … The Wi-Fi is terrible and breakfast can definitely improve…

Great place to rest, tidy, new and clean. Excellent location for sightseeing in the day and partying at night.

Good hostel. He's old. We took out a private room for 4 and as they didn't have we got an even bigger one. Friendly and good breakfast.

It has very few bathrooms per floor. In the third at least 1 for not, 40 people? Afterwards it is very well located and the staff is very attentive.

We stayed in this hostel because our first choice (where we booked) had some problem with our room and they sent us here. Check-in was until 11pm but they let 3 other guys in our room around 2am and they woke us up. Breakfast was very poor, we had just milk with some cereals and there was nothing else. In spite of that, room and toilette was okay. To summarize, you can have more in Prague for the same price.

We booked at another hostel but we got moved to this "associated structure". The bedrooms were ok, even if the plugs were few and a couple of them broken. The area is very noise all night, expect to hear music even at 8 am in the morning. The breakfast is practically non-existent. It's an average hostel, I've been to much better ones in Prague, for the same price range, in the Malá Strana area.

Many, many people in this youth hostel on 5 or 6 levels. Some would say it's a bit of a factory. The services are not really the appointment: rooms poorly soundproof, rudimentary sanitary on the landing, breakfast summary. In addition, we got a little swollen with the exchange rate. Positive Point: the central situation. Although it may also displease some because it is the neighborhood of the revelers.

Definitely a positive experience with the Hostel. I travelled and stayed with a large group of ~40 people, and there were definitely a few issues, but they weren't major and didn't have a huge impact on the quality of my stay. The Hostel was clean, the staff were friendly, the toilet/shower rooms were clean, with good showers (hot, good water pressure). Individual guests can borrow a towel for free at reception, however as I was part of a group, we were charged 50Kc (non-returnable), which wasn't communicated to us directly, but rather to some travel reps who didn't pass on the info to the group. Shower gel, plug socket adapters and some other basic items are also available at reception for free (possibly also subject to a small charge for groups), and you could borrow a hairdryer as well (no charge). As a group, we didn't receive individual room keys, instead getting 2 keys for each room of 8 which was a bit of a problem when people sharing a room had different plans. Breakfast took place in the common areas, but was a little lackluster (cereal, tea/coffee, a sandwich) for my own expectations. Overall, my stay was enjoyable, but I would make some minor changes to improve the experience for future guests. Improvements: — Supply a room/locker key to every guest — Make rules a little clearer, regarding the towel charge for groups (and any similar rules that apply only to certain guests) — Give a little info on turning Radiatiors on/off.

On the other hand concerning travelers, I think I fell on the wrong room because I travel alone, difficult for me to integrate into the relations already established in the room, but nobody has spoken to me once, nor even a "goodbye"… Disappointing on the part travelers…

We had a really disgusting bed bug problem during our stay there yesterday. I even told a staff member in the middle of the night but still they weren't able to come up with satisfying solutions. We had to think up something on our own. They gave us a refund for the next night we had booked but not for the one we had spend there already. The manager was unwilling to give us anything for that one, not even a discount. Aside from that it could have been a nice stay. It is not the most modern (and don't expect anything from the breakfast) but the location is good and everything seemed clean in the bathroom areas.

This place is just shit. It's 4am and guess what… I'm still awake! The beds are hard and uncomfy as fuck and the guys bed next to mine just broke in the middle of the night. The solution was to fix it right at 4am. Thanks for that! Moreover I loved the variety of the breakfast. You can choose between Cornflakes or Cornflakes.

Very nice place! in the middle of prague, nice staff even when we called very last minute for a place, clean, nice breakfast. My first time in a hostel, and I'm definitely coming back!

I spent three days in this hostel which is very well placed, right in the city center and the balance sheet is as follows: One hundred bed bug sting, all over my body.
It's horrible as a sensation.
I do not advise you to go unless you want to get stung!

Okay without more. The bedding is bad and the rooms can be pretty dirty. Do not count too much on breakfast which is composed of only coffee/orange juice + cereals.

It's a very good hostel, people are very friendly, accomodations are good. Just the bathrooms could be better. They also offer you sandwiches when you leave the hostel, so that's a big plus. It's worth value for it's price and good localization.
