We were set to stay in the villa for a wedding in May 2021 but due to the current restrictions as a result of COVID-19, this is not possible. The owner was informed in advance that we could no longer stay on the dates booked through no fault of our own and asked for our booking to be moved to later in the year. The owner could not accommodate this change due to being fully booked which is understandable but refused to refund the deposit sum. The owner was given ample notice and the cancellation wasn’t even optional due to government guidelines and still, the large deposit sum is yet to be refunded. It is absolutely appalling, has caused a lot of distress and it seems that the owner cares more about their own reputation and losses than those of others that will have a far greater effect.
