The property we saw in the picture was a bit misleading, to start from the beginning, on the vrbo website there was information missing. Such as, the ac in the lounge is charged 10 euros per day and the ac temp is kept at minimum 26 in the rooms.
We were not informed of this information during the booking or in the following emails. Also there are no guest allowed which was again not stated. The condition of the pool was bad, the insulation was peeling leaving blue chunks everywhere from the bottom. It was not properly cleaned from the filters or anyone in the property. The owner was coming around once or twice a day which should we had known we would not have booked since we wanted our privacy.
One of the big reasons we booked the villa was because of the ping pong table and pool table but they were both broken or in a bad state. To use the pool table, we had to sacrifice parking space which left our cars outside which the owner complained about because we came with 3 cars instead of 2 which I don’t know what difference does it make. The pool table sticks were missing the tips, the cloth had some holes in it and one of the legs was broken. For the ping pong table it was ruined from sun exposure, the balls were deflated, and the rackets were also worn out from the sun.

We rented the villa from VRBO/EOS Travel (for 6 people) in August.
The positive of the villa is that the location and the nearby villas and locals provide peace and quiet which is what we wanted in the first place.
Unfortunately apart from this, the rest were disappointing.
The images shown by the booking site are waaaay outdated and does not reflect the reality. The garden and pool were in serious need of cleaning and also the condition of the snooker and ping pong table are in a bad state.
A lot of the guidelines/information/property details are not found on the booking site (Vrbo) which we found out once we need the AC on the main living room to work. Once we got there, we called the owner to turn it on for us and told us that there is an additional charge for that unit. When we contacted them about it, they allowed us to use it without extra charge as this was not listed from the site.
The beds on two of the three bedrooms were extremely hard to the point that over the course of our stay, people would prefer to sleep on the couch instead…
Towards the end of our stay, we invited some friends over for bbq and the owner showed up demanding that only the people who booked the villa can be present which was unheard of, especially given the significance of the day (15th August).

Review for Villa Tsikkos Dio (Booked via Vrbo/Eos Travel)
We booked Villa Tsikkos Dio for a week in August 2024 with a group of six friends, and our experience was disappointing. The property did not match the description on Vrbo. There were several issues: the air conditioning in the main living area wasn’t functioning upon arrival, and when it was fixed, we were told there was an extra charge (later waived). The listing mentioned a double sofa bed, which didn’t exist, and the pool area was dirty and poorly maintained. The recreational facilities, like the snooker and ping-pong tables, were in terrible condition.
The situation worsened when the owner confronted us aggressively over having friends visit. Despite the property having enough space, we were told additional guests weren’t allowed, a rule that was not stated in the listing. The owner's attitude was unprofessional and made us feel unwelcome.
Overall, the villa was in need of maintenance, and the experience was far from what was advertised. I would recommend the booking agent improve the accuracy of their listings and carefully vet the properties and owners to ensure a better experience for future guests.

Unfortunately, several significant issues marred our experience, and I believe they need to be addressed.
Swimming Pool Condition:
The swimming pool was in poor condition, with the protective layer peeling off. This not only made it unappealing but also raised concerns about safety and hygiene.
Lack of Privacy:
There was a complete lack of privacy during our stay. The villa owner entered the property every morning to clean the pool without permission. This intrusion made us uncomfortable and violated our expectations of privacy.
Air Conditioning Issues:
We received an email from EOS Travel before our stay stating that the minimum temperature would be set between 22-24 degrees Celsius. However, upon arrival, we found the AC was set to a minimum of 26 degrees Celsius, which is inadequate for a location where temperatures can exceed 40 degrees Celsius. When we inquired about this, we were told it was due to an EU regulation requiring a minimum of 25 degrees Celsius, yet no specific clause was provided to support this claim. These discrepancies made our stay more challenging than it should have been.
Uncomfortable Bed Mattresses:
The bed mattresses were extremely uncomfortable, stiff, and made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. This greatly diminished our ability to relax and enjoy our stay.
Recreational Equipment Condition:
The ping pong and pool tables were in terrible condition, far below the standards one would expect for a villa of this caliber.

We did not rent this villa, but our friends did and the experience was so bad, we felt compelled to write a review for it as well. The issue was not with the villa per se, which was showing its age with deteriorating pool lining etc. But rather with the owner and the property management.
The villa was rented by a group of our friends (6 people) and one of the reasons the villa was chosen was to be in proximity with us, a family of three including a 1.5yo toddler who had accommodation sorted in a nearby village. We planned visiting in the afternoons to enjoy the pool alongside our friends.
To our surprise, on the final afternoon of the reservation, we were visited by the owner of the villas (while we were in the pool with our child) and were asked to leave within the hour! This is because, according to the owner, "no guests or visitors are allowed". The booking was made through VRBO, and no mention of such rule was found in the property description. If such a rule was there, the reservation would not have been made in the first place as one of the group's requirements was, of course, being able to host us and another couple of friends as it was a big public holiday.
Here are a few things said to our group by the owner:
1. As a group of 6 people, you used 3 cars to get here instead of 2. — "I saw it through the cameras, but was lenient and didn't say anything! "
2. "You know very well that no visitors are allowed, and you still had people over!

Tsikkos Dio Villa Terrible Experience — Aggressive and Rude Owner, Facilities in Poor Condition.
Our short stay as guests of the tenants at this villa was nothing short of a disaster.
My friends chose this villa because it seemed to have great amenities like a swimming pool, pool table and table tennis (ping pong). However, all were in terrible condition. The pool table was in a very poor condition. The table tennis setup was no better; the net was falling apart; the paddles were broken and the table is nowhere near a real table tennis table. It was a custom-made table with a blue painted piece of wood and some metal legs.
The swimming pool was also in a dreadful state. The lining was peeling off in several places, making it unpleasant to use. It was clear that the pool hadn’t been properly maintained in a long time.
One of the worst parts of our experience was when the owner aggressively confronted us the day after our arrival, demanding that no guests of the tenants were allowed at the property. This was incredibly frustrating because the VRBO listing made no mention of this rule. We felt deceived and unwelcome. As mentioned above, the owner was extremely aggressive, rude, and, shockingly, exhibited racist behaviour towards us as Cypriots since he specifically stated that he never wanted Cypriots to rent his villa. This made our entire group uncomfortable.
Additionally, most concerning was the violation of our privacy.

This villa seemed to be lovely at first glance, with a great view, just minutes away from the beach. The outdoor space was great, and the pool was lovely. Service was good, with someone promptly coming to clean our pool each morning.
Beds were quite comfy but slightly hard (which was not too much of a bother for me).
The dining / living room is spacious, which is nice.
My only major problem was with the bathroom. The showers in all of our rooms had some sort of problem, my door was broken in my shower, my toilet also had a leak, which resulted in a very unpleasant smell in my room and bathroom.
There was always water on the floor in the bathroom, which was not nice. My room also had a broken plug socket, which was coming away from the wall. It was still able to charge my phone, but it was annoying.
I stayed upstairs, so I did not hear any noise throughout the night and early morning however my parents would always be awoken by birds and a dog barking in the morning (around 4 to 5 am) so it made it difficult for them to sleep. I know there is little you can do about this, but it was worth a mention.
Overall, I would give it a 3/5, as everything else was nice. It is just the bathroom that needs a complete makeover and the plug socket, too.
