We stayed a week and the positives are (1) that some of the staff are very very welcoming and friendly (particularly Valentin who works at the bar — this cannot be said for everyone working at the hotel though. My general feeling was that they didn't want to be there and made no attempts to be friendly. The cleaners were nice whenever we ran into them), (2) the pool and pool area (small — only 1 pool — but quiet and lots of options to get some shade when needed) and (3) close access the sea (the beach is right behind the pool). Why didnt I give more starts? The hotel advertises itself as a 5 star hotel but I wouldn't say this is a 5 star hotel in any way — far from it: (1) the rooms and facilities are not to that standard (the bathroom in our room e. G. Flooded every time we had a shower and there was mould, things seemed quite dated and the leisure area in the lower floor looks like a youth hostel's), (2) the service is not a 5 star service. The welcome was OK but (a) there is no tour or explanation of the facilities available and (b) you take your own bags to your room (I don't mind this but again — unusual for a 5 star), (3) you have to pay for things you don't usually have to (especially not in an actual 5 star hotel) e. G. Use of the safe — a daily charge and if in the evening you want to take a glass of water to the room you have to pay despite paying for all inclusive, (4) the food is ok if you're not vegan (based on my partner who enjoyed the buffet options).
