Vrakas House

The room was very nice and cozy but the walls were really thin I could almost hear everything the people next door were saying the pool is okay not the best since their are noisy pumps. The owner didn't really treat me kindly either which ruined my holiday it was a waste of money for me I hope it goes well for the next people who visit though.

Room was very nice, the location wasn’t really all that good as there is not an official road and the parking is bad, service was just woeful not greeted by the owner kindly at all and told to shoo away when we had a few quick questions about the place George can learn a thing or two about being nice to guest that are staying with him for ten days even if he’s under pressure he works in hospitality and should know how to act under pressure thank you.

Everything was great, George was a super kind host, I was very satisfied and highly recommend it.
I liked the village and the restaurants there and the little shop.
There is nothing to complain about.

Set in the heart of a traditional Cypriot village, this beautiful little gem provided the much-needed rest we were looking for. George is a fantastic host attentive, thoughtful, and always checking in to ensure we had everything we needed.
We stayed in the deluxe studio apartment, which was immaculate and fully equipped with everything for a comfortable stay. The village has two tavernas, both of which we enjoyed, but we also appreciated the option to cook in the apartment.
We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back.

The perfect traditional stone house in the beautiful village of Tochni with a fantastic host, George. You can explore the narrow streets of the village with its picturesque church and mountainous backdrop by foot and it’s also the perfect base to visit surrounding areas with a hire car. We loved it here.

Vrakas house was a beautiful traditional village house, very comfortable, everything we needed for a relaxing stay. George an excellent host and was very helpful and friendly, allowed us to stay till we left for our late flight out of Larnaca. Thank you George. Look forward to returning.

Vrakas house is probably the nicest place I've ever stayed in Cyprus & I've been over 25 times. It's tranquil & calming environment is the perfect place to recharge. The apartment was clean & tidy with everything you need & more for self catering.
The bed was a very comfy 4 poster with air conditioning unit above, perfect!
The pool & courtyard is clean & tidy with plenty of loungers to relax.
George is a very thoughtful host, he's available but not intrusive. He welcomed us after a late delayed flight in the village as we lost our way. Gave us refreshments & pastries on arrival!
Anyone who wants to experience the real cyprus & be away from the strip this is definitely the place to go.
We will definitely return again.

THE place for rest and relaxation. I had the best time staying here. George is a brilliant host and goes out of his way to make sure you have everything and are well looked after. The apartment is beautifully furnished with everything you’d need, the shower is powerful and the bed super comfy. The Wi-Fi and a/c work perfectly too. The village has two lovely tavernas and a friendly local shop all just 2 mins away. The swimming pool is perfect and the patio area is so relaxing. I can’t wait to return! Thank you so much George!

Vrakas House is a great place to stay.

Stayed in Vrakas House Tochni sept 2022. Our flight from uk was delayed by 3hrs meaning we would not arrive at Varakas house until 3/4 AM, but the host was most helpful, communicating by email regarding our arrival time, he warmly welcomed us at Vakras house in the early morning hours making sure we had everything we needed.
We found Vrakas house very clean and well presented, comfortable bed, good air conditioning, bathroom & shower facilities very good. The pool is great, very clean and cool. Tochni village is quiet, and historically interesting. A couple of tavernas serving great food.
Highly recommend Staying at Vakras House.

If you want to experience a slice of the real Cyprus, Vrakas House is the place to be. Situated in Tochni, its rustic charm combined with all mod cons makes it the ideal place from which to tour the island, or just chill by the pool. There are two taverns a 5 minute walk from the property - one at the top of the village and the other opposite the church in the square - both serve good food and enormous helpings. There is also a small supermarket selling the basics and you can also travel to the large supermarket approx 15 minutes from Tochni, just off the A1. As for getting there, its 20 mins from Larnaca Airport. However the best aspect of our trip was the ease of booking and our fantastic host - George. Organised, knowledgeable and just a nice person he could not have been more helpful. Overall, it was a wonderful break and ideal for a couple or friends who just want to relax and decompress.

Great place, located in one of the oldest villages in Cyprus. House with over 500 years history, very comfortable and beautiful. Nice swimming pool, big bed, good air condition. Good contact with the owner. Near by there are 2 tawerns and one small store, also 5 minutes by car there is a big supermarket. When you need to rest and have a relax in excellent silent this is a place for you. Thank you George for guesting us!
