Arrived at the hotel after walking from bus stop in larnaca town centre, which was about 20/25 minutes. Welcomed by a friendly lady on reception, after giving our details we went up to our room. The room was spacious with a balcony which had table and chairs, nice to sit out on it. The en-suite had a nice sized shower. Both were very clean. If you’re someone who likes a cup of tea/ coffee be aware that they don’t provide a kettle or cups. You can rent a fridge for 5 euros a day. The beds were made and the bins were emptied every day of our stay. Breakfast was included in the price. It was a continental buffet with a good selection of food. They have a lovely swimming pool and if you don’t have a towel you can buy one. They also have a restaurant where they do lunch. The bar also has a good selection of cocktails and I think every drink you could want, although I’d recommend a nice large bottle of the local beer Keo, after a strenuous day round the pool. The hotel is only a short walk from the seafront and numerous restaurants, also McKenzie beach is a 10/15 minute walk, where there are more restaurants and bars. The Cactus Hotel was a warm, friendly place and will be happy to revisit and recommend.
