Landhuis Daniel - Plantation House

Slowest and most unorganized service ever. Total 3 hours from sitting at the table till we got the message that they were out of dessert. We ordered the mother day special because it was quick and easy. No one checks on the table, even entre took 1 hour to get, and it was the wrong one. Main course took another hour. No one asks if we want more drinks or takes the plates, they blamed it on busy, but not so busy that waiters would not chit chat for many many minutes with some of the regular costumers.
Food is mediocre, I say go straight past and to some of the other service minded restaurants on this amazing island.

This really hit the spot for an authentic island breakfast. The Dutch pancakes were outstanding and it was so peaceful, cool and beautiful!
Very cool old plantation house with a neat history—you can stay here as well.

We had planned on another restaurant which happened to close for an island celebration. Daniel’s was always on our list to try. To say we lucked out is an understatement. We come to Curaçao regularly, our favourite restaurant has been Isabelle Off The Beach, we now have a second favourite. Five of us ordered the restaurant Table d’Hôte specialty, a shared dish. If you like Indonesia fusion flavours, you are in for a treat like nowhere else. Five of us couldn’t eat all that was offered, we couldn’t decide what was the best, still can’t. If you go to Curaçao, it’s a must. We will have to go back to try other dishes which looked amazing. I will say it again, it’s a top restaurant in Curaçao.

We had more excitement looking forward to our dinner and great meal rather than the aftermath of 5 days if sickness after. We left the restaurant at 18.30 and the turmoil started at 1am in the morning and lasted 5 days.
The meal was tasting pretty good even though we had some unidentifiable dishes and the ladies that waited on us didn't know really for sure either. Service was interesting but we had time and are after all on vacation. After telling a friend about it she said they had a similar experience. Very good tasting food if can handle the aftermath and have time not to stray to far from a bathroom the following few days.
I appreciate thr owners sentiment that a virus went around on the island but it was pretty obvious. It was not a stomach bug or a virus. It was severe food poisoning. Still worth a try. I am sure they are taking better care in the future.

We very much enjoyed the delicious rijsttafel at Landhuis Daniel (we didn't stay at the Landhuis;. We drove up from Blue Bay to go to the restaurant because we like Indonesian food). It would be even better with smaller portions and a few more dishes, but definitely no complaints about what we were served. We're pretty particular about rendang, and Landhuis Daniel's version was one of the best we've ever had. But all the dishes were flavourful and beautifully spiced.

My boyfriend and I went to Landhuis Daniel for breakfast and when I tell you I wish we had found them earlier in our trip. We both had the Dutch pancakes, mine was apples and dulce de leche and my boyfriend had apples and rum raisins. Absolutely amazing. We also shared the BLT on their sourdough bread. Amazing as well. The sangria, I wish I would have gotten a second glass. It was so peaceful having breakfast here and the property itself is beautiful. I highly recommend and cannot wait to go back when we return.

Incredible food! Really, really tasty and thoughtful. Cocktail also slapped. With total respect and in-line with never devaluing such thoughtful, local establishments: I do think you have some healthy work to do with your serving staff. Probably the worst service experienced in my stay at Curacao… actually (the more I think about it), it was the only negative service experience on the island past few days. Still, amazing grounds, awesome food, and thoughtful experience minus service.

The food was incredible! We had the tiger prawns, which were to die for! The duck leg and hangarsteak were delicious and very tender! For desert, creme brulee… wonderful! As an extra we had deep fried banana which was fantastic. The staff was so friendly and nice! It's tucked away off the road in the trees which gives it a fantastic atmosphere, kind of like dining in a hidden garden. I would recommend this place to everyone who wants a tasty meal! I'd give it 10 stars if I could!

We ordered a preset menu and their hangar steak. This is the first place on the island that we have been to that has flavor! We have been here for four days and almost all of the restaurants have been bland or tasteless.
We originally were going to a place down the street from here, but they required reservations, so we had to find a new restaurant. I am so glad we decided to come here. Everything was delicious. The hangar steak was tender and juicy, all of the items we ordered were packed with flavor and we couldn’t get enough of it.
If we were to stay another few days, I’d opt for us to come back here for dinner in the evenings.

We easily got a reservation and both ordered 3 course meal (Onion Soup, rack of Lamb, flanksteak, crème brûlée and tiramisu). Everything from service to food was excellent and one of our best meals on island.

Food was delicious and service was great. We bought a painting from the owner and wanted a clean version, so he came out to get us one and personally signed the art. Hidden gem. Best food we had on the island. The steak au poivre was great as well as the fondue, plus best cheese balls we’ve tried.

Breakfast here is unreal and not to be missed. Vietnamese coffee and French toast with dolce de leche? Yes please. We also had dinner here and really enjoyed the meal. It's quaint and quiet, certainly a change up from the more explosive restaurants of Willemstad, but it's a welcomed change when you want some fantastic food under a more rural setting.

Stopped here on Sunday for a hike, lunch, and a visit to the local market. We really enjoyed spending our day here!
The market had a great variety of items, and the live music added a fun touch of entertainment.
The food and service at the restaurant were both great, and the atmosphere was really nice, cozy and welcoming.

We ate in this restaurant on a week nite. We enjoyed the rice dinner for three. Each dish was excellent. Nice cocktails too. The service was excellent. Total bill was $246 (local). Parking was plentiful.

Amazing food. We ate here twice. Loved the surf and turf, everything cooked and seasoned to perfection. Second time we got the buffet, and tried many new foods (visiting from the US). We didn't stay here, but it's worth driving from anywhere on the island for a meal this good in a great open air environment.

Stopped here for dinner and was delightfully surprised by the wonderful ambience and food. Open air seating, clean and pleasant atmosphere. The food was delicious, thoughtfully prepared and reasonably priced. Good kids menu. Service was attentive and fast. Cute pigs on the property were a bonus.

Stopped here for breakfast when we realized porta mari didn't open til 930. Breakfast was delish, I fell in love with the local syrup went perfectly with the French toast. Definitely recommend, a great place for breakfast on the way to the beach!
