All very nice an amazing attention good atmosphere and first class staff we could not choose another better place to spend these three days and two super fantastic nights on our honeymoon.

People who work in this hotel is really kind, warm and nice. The breakfast was good and the mojitos at the terraza were very good. Also, the people who sing and play music in the night in the terraza are amazing.

Terrific location built in the 1930s which has retained its 1930s charm. Very highly recommend taking the 10am free historical tour of the hotel — was one of the best parts of our recent trip! We were there for a medical meeting — which unexpectedly coincided with the 500th birthday of Havana — had a wonderful view of the harbor from our room to view the fireworks.

If you are the kind of visitor that like just to chill out and rest, with everything just across the street or in the nearby blocks, this Hotel is perfect. They need to improve the service, but it is something understandable if we think that we are touring a country that is changing. The food is average. It is better to eat in local restaurants.

So beautiful, it was like stepping back in time. The rooms were lovely, and all the staff were so nice and always smiled and said hi. Great facilities (gym, pool and decent Wi-Fi connection) food and drinks were incredible. Great location between new and old Havana. Full of history, would return in a second.

This hotel is iconic so even if you don't stay here, swing by and check it out. There are beautiful patios and grounds to walk around. Grab a drink at the bar and hang out for a bit.

It is best to your people, don Fernando, as well as all others, it is a museum of peace and tranquility. The extraordinary service, well located, is the safest city in the world, really left me without words, thanks to the people of cuba.

In March, 2018, I finally got here to this fabulous hotel on the hill above the Malecon… The Nacional has a special place in my novel titled Listen for the Mourning Dove. After hearing the new Buena Vista Social Club, it was lovely sitting out on the wide back veranda with thoughts of the grand mystery and history of this place floating by on cool ocean breezes. Go to Cuba while you can, and don't miss a night at the Nacional.

An old hotel tormented by life and the Communist Party. Raw rooms, disgusting feeding. Like a historical place, yuri Gagarin, Frank Sinatra, the founding fathers of the Genovese mafia family, and old Hemingway visited there. For some reason it seemed to me that the thoughts of suicide appeared in Ernest Millerovich after a visit to this institution. In our room there was a crooked hanging lambreken, and on the wall — a huge dent. Probably, this is where the famous Rocky Marciano stayed, and the dent is the consequences of a "two-man" punctured by a family of mosquitoes whose descendants kept us awake all night.

I want to start off by saying that this hotel has so much history! It was built in a great location, and it's surrounded by many vintage cars and taxis, most importantly; the people. I stayed here for two days. Upon arrival, you are greeted at the entrance and then you wait in line, which is tedious. They have one woman doing everything. One minute, she's checking you in, another minute she's exchanging money. They work very hard. The service was decent, they weren't rude. The standard room was horrible. Any rooms from 1to 5 are horrible. It smells like mildew, the walls have mildew and, the beds are uncomfortable and there's huge bugs. I didn't feel comfortable being in there for 5 minutes. We immediately asked for an upgrade, and we got one without hesitation. I'm upset I forget the woman who helped us because she was extremely helpful. And sweet. We went to the 6th floor, you see the difference immediately. This floor has its own reception, and the smell is a little better. The rooms are good for Cuba standards. You also eat breakfast on your floor, instead of having to go downstairs in another lobby. I would recommend no more then 2 nights here. Definitely take advantage of the tours and history here.

What a place! The hotel was beautifully kept up. Great views and service. Food was awesome and the availability of cigars, Havana Club rum and classic car rides were a real plus. Great music also. Breakfast at both the buffet and Ricon de Cine was plentiful and reasonable. My only regret is that I did not buy one of the Hotel Nacional de Cuba ashtrays in the gift shop. I found out about them upon my return. I guess I will have to make another trip.

Must see while in Cuba, even if your aren't a guest of the hotel. My friend and I sat in the hotel gardens facing the sea while enjoying a coffee. Staff are super polite and attentive. We returned a few days later and paid 20CUC to spend a full day by the pool. Lunch and drinks were included in this price. The hostess taking care of us was lovely and we left her a big tip to say thank you. Well worth it!

A hotel with an interesting history and beautiful territory. It doesn't take you at all. Very poor service and dirty rooms.

Historic hotel, with character. A magnificent area with an underground passage and trenches, from which the battles were fought. Good breakfasts. Delicious cocktails in the bar on the street. There are pools.
Some rooms are out of date. The windows don't open.

Great mojito and the opportunity to plunge into the atmosphere of the Alcapoone times. The hotel has a museum dedicated to the Caribbean crisis.
