A Heritage Split

Great location in the heart of beautiful Split but not very impressed with the room. Our one window looked out at the side street’s wall which meant natural light was very limited. Other reviews have mentioned complementary water and wine. Our fridge, sadly, was empty. Bed was fine. No choice of pillows (see other reviews) and the foam ones we had were very firm indeed. Shower functioned well but was small. Breakfast room small, cramped when busy and it took time to restock items. Staff in the breakfast room needed to up their hospitality skills somewhat. Not friendly, quite fierce! One man picked up a croissant he was going to eat and the staff member remonstrated: no fingers! Yet my husband had seen same staff member pick up spilled granola — with her fingers — and then put it back in the dispenser! We were on 1st floor, next to reception, which meant it was pretty noisy at times. By far the best thing about this hotel was its great position in the city.

Incredible hotel on the main square in split. The rooms were incredibly comfy with character reflecting this old building and town. The rooms were was perfect with complimentary water and a bottle of wine. Plenty of room with a well thought out bathroom, pleat y of different pillows and a warm welcome.

Lady M at the front desk was very friendly, and the property was well-located, but the magic to our room on the 4th floor was the bathroom. Put your phone in the corner pocket and crank up a favorite tune, blast the water and the harmonics will make it so that you never, ever want to leave the shower, which featured double rain heads and side jets. I did have to massage the silicone nipples to get the water spraying well. But the harmonics… if you love music, you're going to love that bathroom.

Our stay was wonderful, with the hotel being in the ideal location. The breakfasts were small but tasty and good quality. Only complaint is that the staff were rude!

This b&b is in a fantastic location in the old town. We arrived slightly early and stowed our bags no problem.
Rooms are large and comfortable. A few minor issues: our shower leaked and the air con unit was a bit noisy. We were worried that we would hear the crowds below but the sound proofing is great.
Breakfast was OK — in my opinion nothing special and poor coffee from a machine. Top tip — venture out to the many kava shops.
If you’re looking for a hotel in the heart of Split, would recommend.

Hotel location is its biggest selling point. However if you have mobility issues or a lot of luggage do note that it is in a pedestrian zone and therefore your taxi will have to drop you off a little walk away.
The rooms are very large and the AC is fantastic.
Housekeep did an amazing job — all areas were spotless clean.
Breakfast staff did not greet us any morning or explain how breakfast was set up like you experience in other hotels.
Storing luggage was no problem as we had a late flight but again if you want somewhere to sit for a few minutes prior to leaving forehand to organise you bag etc this hotel does not have any such common area. The breakfast room is on the other side of reception however the receptionist would not allow me simply open my case in that room for the 2 mins it would have taken me. It can be these little things that make a difference after a long day in the sun.

Fantastic location and even better insulation! Was right in the central plaza but was quiet as anything. We had one of the rooms on the top floor which was a decent size and modern with a very comfortable bath tub after a long day. Staff were very friendly. Only things to note is I didn't try the breakfast so can't comment and the elevator is slightly scary.

Absolutely fabulous hotel. Right in the main square, modern recent refit throughout to a very high build quality with plenty of chrome, glass and wood retaining old stone wall features and character and charm. Great room Spotlessly clean. Fantastic bed slept like at home. Plenty of storage, coffee, fridge, safe, fab bathroom and shower. Friendly staff. Great continental breakfast choice.
Would recommend very highly.

Great location! Easy walk to everything in Split. Staff was very friendly and helpful (arranging a cab to the airport, holding our luggage before and after we checked out, recommending places to see and eat etc. )

Located in a public square, this place has got very good access by foot to most of the happening places in Split.
Though the building is old, it has been renovated in a mix of old and modern style. The rooms are comfortable, very well maintained and clean. Limited breakfast choices are there, but they are more than adequate.
The focus on cleanliness of the surrounding place is really very praiseworthy. One can see the motorised wet cleaners mopping the lanes in the very early morning. The lanes though old shine through and leave a very pleasant feeling.
A lift is available for accessing the top floors. The reception is on the first floor so be aware.
Around the square and in the narrow lanes are restaurants and shops of all types. A supermarket, SPAR is about 50 metres away. The palace is also very close by as is the beautiful sea side promenade. The only thing to keep in mind in terms of location is that no cars are allowed in the area, so one has to get down and walk about 300-400 metres with your luggage to reach the hotel.
All in all a very conveniently located and comfortable place to stay while visiting the beautiful Split town.

We loved staying here! The location is great and the staff were so welcoming when we checked in. The room was pretty simple but in a good way. It got the job done and I had some of the best sleep here. The breakfast in the morning was our favorite. Again it too is simple but the eggs and french toast were fresh. When you come to Split I highly recommend staying here.

I have just returned from an amazing trip to Split, something I've wanted to do for many years and it was worth the wait. I was lucky enough to stay at the Palace Suites Heritage hotel, booked through easyJet Holidays and I would like to thank the staff for a very relaxing stay. The hotel is beautiful, very central, spotlessly clean, very quiet with excellent amenities and a delicious breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble and any queries were dealt with efficiently with no hesitation. Thank you for packing me up a carry out breakfast, having to check out very early. I would recommend this hotel to everyone and would certainly return there again should I visit Split. Thank you all xx.

A real gem right in the hub of Split, 5 mts down a small alley off the main square. Very clean and comfortable, breakfast was good although restaurants and cafes everywhere and a laundromat literally around the corner. The promenade just 5 mins walk.

Appreciated lift, location, spacious room, kettle, mini-frig, phone & comfortable bed.
Sadly, there was almost no hot water for the shower my 1st nite even tho I made sure to turn the boiler on upon arrival an hour before shower.
After various suggestions from staff, it was left on for 24 hrs before next shower. I had about 5 minutes of hot water that night.

Perfect location. Close to every thing. Hotel staff was always friendly and helpful. Breakfast room manager was efficient and available to answer any questions.

We loved staying here! It was my partner's birthday and Margarita made arrangements for a surprise birthday cake and gifted us with a bottle of wine as well. The location of the hotel is very, very prime. Room was huge and we had a breathtaking view of the piazza and the bell tower. All the more special because we witnessed a stunning full moon (buck moon). Super helpful staff, gave us tips and also helped booked our restaurants and car rides out of Split. Loved Split and our time wasn't enough to visit other places during this trip. So we are definitely coming back and staying here again!

Our stay was lovely. We loved the breakfast which was included. The place was clean and in the middle of the old town, in walking distance to everything. We enjoyed the stay.
