Sadly, we never had a chance to visit this lovely Villa. Our stay was fully refundable with cancellation option up to week before our arrival. (We cancelled a long before that due to Covid). The manager Cyntia has still not fully refunded our deposit and it’s been a whole year since our booking. The refund was promised latest by today (15 June) but after 3 emails to remind Cyntia of agreements with European Consumer centre I have not had any more response.

The location is a bit away from the centre of Opatija. And the walk on the waterfront walkway is perfect. We found this restaurant as we were walking around and were admiring the gardens. I suggest to reserve in advance during the high season, as we were lucky to get the last available table (in the garden). This is not a normal "croatian" grill or homefood restaurant. It also doesn't want to be. Yes, price is much higher, but also the quality of food and presentation are much higher than in normal restaurants (its fine dinning, but still somewhat more relaxed). You have an option from selecting different dishes or a tasting menu (better value, but you don't know exactly what you get — though the waiter really listens, especially if you have any special demands or wishes. Plenty of people around us ate scampi… We opted for tasting menu (5 courses). Beside the 5 courses you get an additional starter (welcome from the kitchen). All dishes were great, my favourite was baked scampi on polenta with zucchini and almonds pesto (menu changes often! ). All the dishes had a local influence and that was great. Wine selection was good, we decided for a bottle of Malvazija after suggestion of the waiter. Service was very good. Waiter was friendly, helpful and very attentive. It took a bit of time to get the first dish, but I guess that was also due to the fact that the restaurant was full… Portions per se are not big, but 5 courses are enough for a person to get fed.

Excellent ambience and great staff!

Very nice Hotel @ the beautiful seaside of Opatija! Restaurant is one of the best in Town. Prices are slightly over the local level but the stunning view from the outside terrace is woth it! Rooms are old fashioned but good.

A beautiful new year's eve Festival — perfectly organized, excellent food, top Service, we have felt ourselves very well and it will not be the last! Thank you for the lovely evening! And super DJ.

Very romantic and enchanting place. Like sleeping in an old castle with beautiful views. Restorant is also a very romantic and recommended. Be aware that there is no elevator.

Beautiful house, great beach and garden plus pool. Everything is really well mentained and spotless clean. Breakfast really good and made with love! Unfortunately a lot of noise from the street and also thanks to some wedding parties. In generel we would love to rate the place much higher but one thing need to be mentioned. The staff is wonderful, extremely professional and kind. But one person is really a whole different story to the otherwise positive experience. The young tall guy at the reception is extremely rude and doesn't know how to behave in front of guests, he is really not a good fit and lacks professionalism and manners! This really spoils the stay as it is the first contact you have. He should be trained in customer care! Everyone else is great — the young people at the bar and restaurant are doing a perfect job. This guy is the first and last impression you get from the hotel and he clearly ruined ours! Several times during our stay he behaved inappropriately and also didn't keep the distance we expect as a guest. I recommend to remove him from the reception where he interacts with guests. I really loved the place but he made us feel so uncomfortable that I cannot rate the hotel any higher!

Oh, dear. I'm a total fan. But this time I had to go to Croatia, because I participated in the swimming championships in Rijeka. My astonishment was all the greater when we were only able to experience the best. Hotel: Great location, simple but clean rooms to the sea side. Breakfast OK, although not being put down. Ambiance of the House of a villa worthy. Garden sooo beautiful, with wonderful sea views. Staff very friendly. Sea: As Jesolo can only weep with its algae and its Quallenüberschuss. The water is pretty clear and invites you to swim. New terraces are being added directly to the sea. Restaurant: Wau. We're pretty strict about food. But a very finely selected card, with excellent food delights the hearts. The regional wine is tasty, as is the mineral water. The service is friendly and good from the waiter to the top waiter from the heart. Meat and fish that come fresh from the sea every day are truly magnificent. If a meal is not recommended in one day, the guest will be told what we felt very positive. (would be nice if the price could hold up)
We are looking forward to visiting Croatia again soon.

Perfect venue for wedding and private hideaway. The original Austro-Hungarian villa is turned into boutique hotel, run by highly well trained staff, relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with excellent cuisine and tasteful decoration, all of this set on 'Lungo Mare' the romantic 14km walk by the sea. The truly unpretentious and understated elegance at its best.

The food is outstanding. Extremely fresh fish and shell fish. The waiters are very knowledgeable of food and how they should be prepared and how much are provided. Pleasant complimentary wine was provided after the meal. No problem with English speakers. Do expect to pay $$$$ for the meals.
