For youth hostel it is very good.
Beautiful hostel ideal for families with children, school in nature projects (wonderful Slovenian teachers lead them), students traveling on the budget and everyone who seeks peaceful nature, next to the sea in pine woods and authentic Istria's oak woods. I had wonderful experience meeting the Slovenian doctor lady who there takes care of all emergencies with very kind nurse, I felt very safe that I could count on medical help. The sea is very warm, ideal for swimming in the afternoon. Even if it rains during the night, sea doesn't get cold, it's amazing! Management and reception staff is very professional, kind and helpful. In general, the whole Croatian and Slovenian staff make a great team, I was touched how they all cared for us. Next to the hostel there are few playgrounds for children, market, ice-cream places, and little bus that looks like train which connects hostel with Novigrad and few camps so you can have wonderful trips. Air is fresh, ideal for anyone with respiratory problems, after one week, you already feel revived. There are basketball on concrete and volleyball on sand fields. There is a free parking for guests under grape-trees. There's a restaurant with breakfast, lunch and dinner, with big vegetable buffet and home cooked meals, with very kind and caring staff.

More than traveling on a budget… I guess the most interesting part besides being a retreat in one of the most wonderful places along the coast it is also a retreat for youngsters with special needs and therefor a place with authentic and real people. The kids are super friendly and I wish I could have dedicated my knowledge towards their needs rather than serving the corporate sea of recycled visions. It truly was a place full of substance. Not for the typical tourist nor for the social condemned ones looking for an escape. This is a place where you find yourself or get inspired by the purpose others have found.
