Best traditional food restaurant with great views! We ordered duck with 'mlinci' for two and it was delicious. Staff was very helpful and we had feeling that we ate at their home. It is complicated to get there but when you come you see that is really worth it.

Well hidden corner but great restaurant! Helpful, beware they do not speak French but between German and English, we could understand each other. The plans are delicious and the setting is warm. Try it if you pass by!

Great place for relaxation and travel, nature is amazing-waking up in the morning is nice to hear on the balcony of the birds and see the beautiful scenery. Breakfast and dinner are very tasty! I recommend to try a duck and tatters, and mushroom soup of 4 types of mushrooms, cheese and wine of local production. Honey and jam from berries yum! There are tennis courts, playground for children, bicycles. Near the hills of the vineyards and it is stunningly beautiful!

Nice place but a bit pricey.

Wonderful homemade food, their own wine and their own grown poultry. We celebrated in a bigger number of people and were served like kings, all of our questions were answered, all of the tastes were fulfilled. We are always welcomed by the staff and are seriously planning to stay in one of their cottages, they are renewed old traditional Zagorje stone wooden houses, with a restaurant in the middle with a spectacular view of the green hills all around. During autumn time, you can pick grapes (you have to sign up) and make wine with them.

The meal was a rustic splendor with perfect wine pairings from the local vineyard. Our waiter was a master of Old World elegance. And the views are magnificent.

Hrvatsko Zagorje — Very nice place with traditional regional buildings, very good foods in restaurants and views for the mountains.

The food and wine were lovely. However, the service was atrocious, the waiter didn't give 2 cents about us and preferred chugging on glasses of wine instead of being an actual waiter. We would have loved to get more wine and a dessert but the lack of attention from The waiter simply ended up making us asking for the check and leave. The location is gorgeous and I would recommend to reserve before showing up. Wine was A+.

The food is a good average, quite pricey and a little overstated. Didn't like the clientele but the waiting staff were attentive.

We only ate there, but the staff was very accommodating! We arrived and asked for a tour, which we were given, along with some wine tasting. We decided to stay for dessert and wine. We ordered dessert, but they were out of one of them, so we ordered something else — it all sounded amazing, so why worry? Later, the owner (? ) brought out the dessert we had originally ordered, made specially for us. He gave it to us free of charge, so we were really appreciative. The wine was very good (though I'm not the greatest judge of that), and much less sweet than their counterparts in the States. I really enjoyed my time here! Plus, it was well marked so we could find it!

Really nice rustic atmosphere. Food is great but rather expensive for Croatian standards. Has a wine celler and a horse stable where you can ride a horse for cheap.

Place for a great relaxation, lovely scenery, numerous trips to do around.

Vuglec breg is the ideal place for passing through a small stopover insert and in the Midst of the beautiful nature a little peace and quiet to enjoy the regional cuisine and the delicious self-made wine to enjoy. If you stay overnight, you can in one of the cozy apartment to stay the night. Everything is very clean, and the staff was friendly. Tip: if you are looking for something special you want to experience, and a wine lover, you should go to in the autumn for the harvest to come, when the Harvest help, a Buffet, and evening live music, hilarious dancing.

Great place to visit on your way from or to the Croatian coast. Its a 10 minute drive of the highway and a perfect spot to stop either for a meal, or to take a one day break and sleep-over in one of their traditional houses turned into a perfect modern lodging facility. Moreover, for those of you who enjoy a good wine — at Vuglec breg they make and age their own wine. Ask the staff for a tour of the cellar. You won't be disappointed.
