When you arrive with the ferry, it's the first hotel that you see in the distance. The beautiful arches/terace make way for fantastic views. At Arkada's prime in the 70's it was the top of the line hotel. The interior in the reception shows the style off very well. Unfortunately, it has not kept up with the times and is in need of total renovations which are very costly. I've been coming to Stari Grad for 13 years now. I've spent many days in the area of Arkada. I've never actually stayed in a room, but I've heard that they are rundown and very outdated without a/c. The positives: If you think that you are on vacation and will spend the majority of your time seeing and doing things outside or in the town, the condition of the room might not matter to you that much. I have eaten in the small restaurant and it was quite good during lunches. They have a special lunch menu 50-60 kuna for salad/soup, meat/fish and dessert. The coffee bar has everything and fantastic huge pastries/desserts/ice cream. Sonja and Mirna who alternate between the morning or afternoon shift are very friendly!. Their English is good but please remember that it is not their native language. There is a swimming pool with water aerobics. Sonja leads it every other morning at 10:30. I've heard that this could be one of the last summers it will be open. I know it's needed but it's sad. My memories are fond.

Surroundings are beautiful. Hotel too crowded in summer, though. Mid to lower level. Might be closed…

The hotel is nice, it has big canteen, big swimming pool, and it is directly at the seaside, but the downside is lack of air conditioning. It is better to spend time on the beach than in hotel room.

A wonderful place for a wonderful vacation. Simply amazing.

Alberto dated with furniture in bad state facilities just enough, the location is good and the view is of great impact.

Spectacular view, food acceptable. The rooms were impossible and the room was clean.

In huge need of renovation, it's like traveling back to the 70s. Everything is outdated.

BEWARE this hotel has taken money from my Mastercard when I have never been there or even thought about going there. Over EUR 1000 have been stolen from me.

It was probably a joke, this hotel is definitely not a ***. There's probably time stopped at the 70s a good hotel for people over 60 Pros are just. Beautiful view, good parking and swimming pools. Rest is horrible.

Ugly rooms, everything looked like it was stuck in the 70's. Also unpleasent working staff and bad food.

Have stayed here three times in the last 5 years. While it is a little dated, it is a clean comfortable hotel with an indoor and out door pool. And it's own beach. 10min walk from Starigrad along a lovely tree covers path. Has a fab continental breakfast. Hope to stay again in the future.

Staff very friendly, the food is very good, and for me, too many choices, the guests take more as you can eat, and then everything on their plates. When you should eat with ribbons on the Arm appear to be what one has paid for, because I believe that when they eat people there are, the have not paid. The beach is directly next to the Hotel, only should guests from the Hotel on the beach, not even for are have to pay. The rooms should be renovated, as is the time to stand still. In all, highly recommended.

I was swimming in the hotel swimming pool as a child in 1989.

Sore back insured because mattress too soft and old, Orange blankets dating actually 60-70 years. Soundproofing… x sockets without mass… It is an interesting experience in these buildings from the former Soviet Union… When we arrived the pool was green and was emptied and then refill.
But the path to the lovely town of Stari Grad, framework very beauty and beaches nearby!
