Only staying for two nights but the welcome was so warm and friendly that I think if we ever come back to Split we will stay here. Our room is beautiful and the staff lovely. Would recommend without hesitation.

Tucked away on a back street, not far out from the city centre, this family owned and run hotel is a fabulous place to stay when visiting Split.

Great, very clean, hot (order) and cold breakfast, receptionist very helpful and in a good location. Takes about 15 minutes to the bus station and ferry port.

Stayed there for one night when I was in split. Such a great experience. My room was way better than expected. Marija took the time to tell me all of the good places to eat and where to watch the World Cup. Could not have been happier. Anytime I am in split I will be staying there.

They were honestly the most gracious And helpful people that I have ever encountered while staying at a hotel. This hotel is in quiet neighborhood in walking distance to the center of town. If you are looking for a place to stay in Split, we highly recommend Splendida Palace! We can’t wait to go back!

LOVED IT! This hotel exceeded our expectations. All the reviews you see online for this place are true — the staff really is that caring and wonderful. Our room was gorgeous — so clean and luxurious. When we checked in, Ana was so knowledgeable and helpful with navigating and recommendations. This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at. There are only 10 rooms in the hotel, and the level of care and attention to detail are second to none. What a difference it makes when you are dealing with the owners every day. They put in their sweat equity to renovate and decorate the hotel, and opened in 2015, and they continue to put in their sweat equity every day. I have never met such friendly, sunshiny people anywhere. There is a reason this is the top hotel in Croatia. We did not want to leave! And they have FREE parking in the old town, which is incredible. Also, when you arrive, they give you a cell phone loaded up with phone numbers, including for reception, the owner, the taxi, the airport, and the bus terminal, which you keep with you for the duration of your stay. Marija will take care of you from start to finish, and you will want for nothing.

While the staff is very nice, the pictures are extremely deceiving! The pool is a hotub, the rooms are very small and the front street is slightly scary. And they made us pay upfront! Ensuring we could not leave. What a joke. No staff is there after 10. That means you come home to an empty building. They give you a phone and say to call if you have any issues while they are not there. This is not a substitute for an in-person staff member. They market it as hotel but is a bed and breakfast. So disappointed.

Beautiful, newly opened boutique hotel, with an okayish interior design, modern technology and astonishingly big bathrooms. It is allegedly run by a family from the cleaning lady up to the manager, which is pleasently noticeable on every detail. The breakfast was very good. The location is practical regarding the nearby old town of Split and the historic background of the building itself is surprisingly fascinating.

We have just returned home from a week here in this amazing hotel! We stayed in such a beautiful room with a terrace and My now fiancé Scott proposed to me on the candlelit terrace which marija beautifully secretly decorated for him! The staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming and made us feel like we were with family! Such a beautiful hotel with a lovely plunge pool and brilliant breakfast. An incredible family run business! Thank you for making our stay so wonderful! We highly recommend staying here, not one bad thing to say!

I have never felt the need to write a review, until now. Splendida palace was fantastic from start to finish. We were so well looked after, that it was like staying with family. Before arriving we were asked if we needed anything, taxis were arranged to take us to and from the airport. Tables in restaurants and excursions were all booked for us. On top of that, everyone was so friendly. One day we will return to Split and won't even consider staying anywhere else. Can't recommend this place highly enough.
