Soviet-type architecture, definitely showing wear. Several abandoned outbuildings (including the decaying, graffiti-covered "Titanic Disco") with boarded up or broken windows. VERY spotty internet. But! The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the air conditioning worked.

No client service at all. Bad attitude. Rooms ok but could so better. Old building.

The service is horrible the receptionist doesn't know numbers at the bar you can't order a glass of water because they are to lazy to wash glasses. If you stay here expect dirty rooms, the plugs don't work, the water is not drinkable, be prepared to get a desese, and the food is bad and tasteless. Never stay here.

Clean but in need of a remodel. Area around the hotel is pretty dead. Good breakfast.

Much better than two stars category. Rooms are completely renovated with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV and small but comfortable bathroom. The bus station is next to the hotel, driving to the center of the city takes 15 minutes. Staff kind and helpful. Warm recommendation!

Although it looks like old and abandoned, I am pleasantly surprised. Hotel Zagreb has a long interesting history, huge potential, and it is a shame that today it has only 2. Location is great, 5km from city center which you can reach in 10-15min by bus or a car (taxi). Beach, park with pine trees, small but comfortable and clean rooms, nice people. Everything you need to take a shower, get some sleep and the rest of the day enjoy in beautiful city.

It used to be one of the most popular luxurious hotels in the area, but it's far from that nowadays. Hotel features a large park from which you could access the beach with a elevator building which is now abandoned. Other buildings in the park (bakery, cafe, etc. ) are also abandoned.

I spent three days in this hotel. In summary, Pleasant hotel, beautiful view, very convenient, but I will write my impressions for all those who intend to stay. The building is from the 80s, but the accommodation units have been completely renovated. I had a new "Standard" room overlooking the sea — this is one of the most beautiful views I've ever had in hotels, and I've been in them over 200. The room is fine, equipped with television, self-control air conditioning, central heating and hygiene supplies. The view goes first to the pine forest that's located on the south side, and beside it is the Adriatic Sea and islands in the vicinity of Split. The hotel is outside the city center (a few miles), but is well connected to the old town. The bus that stops right next to the hotel is always driving directly to the center, and the price is only 1.5 euros! The ride takes 20 minutes. However, the hotel is not fully used. In the mentioned park there are facilities that are not in function, as well as the beach itself that is clean, but also not fully used (there are objects that have not been renovated, and in which I presume it was once a touristic content). I have seen numerous facilities in hotels that are also not in function — halls for various sports (billiards, table tennis, bowling alley, gym, chess …). Unfortunately, because with such amenities this could be the hotel of the first category!. As for the breakfast included in the price, it is correct.

I was prepared to give THREE fully hearted stars for closeness to the smallish beach (though too many slippery and harmful stones in the water), friendliness of SOME of the stuff (though the guy from the bar should seriously work on his attitude), cleanliness of the room (also newly renovated), great sea views, and well… the continental breakfast (accurate reminder of the communist era — Im getting nostalgic here). However, on the last day of our stay, I saw a MOUSE in our room, lucky me.

Pleasant, quiet place. Beautiful views and nature around the hotel. In my opinion the 3-star hotel. Inexpensive-priced. The hotel has old and new refurbished rooms, we had a new one.

Fine place, 3 stars by its structure and inside look; cheap place and close beach + beach for pets too.

The hotel is very good for price that you can take, especially new renovated rooms with pine-forest and sea view. Right next to the hotel is a concrete beach, but close to a lot of pebble beaches…

I was there with my girlfriend week ago. Hotel has been renovated. We stayed in new superior room — sea side, and the view was breathtaking, service was good, nearby beach is located 300 meters from hotel.
