This place was amazing. The food was great, the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely stay again.

For us it was much more than a hotel. We (family of 5) came for one night, without planning anything ahead, due to time restrictions. Nelson took the time and helped us with recommendations, connected us to his friends in our next destination and even found the best deal for car rental. The rooms are OK, hotel very nice, great breakfast and fabulous Nelson!

I just got settled in and wanted to stop by and leave a comment of course I saw what some spoiled unappreciative people wrote this was my second stay Nelson and Ricky everyone is so pleasant it's really a relaxing getaway safe neighborhood I left my wedding rings at home you should read up on the neighborhood in general your not going to New Hampshire if your looking for dental work you can pay triple at the Hilton but once you step out the gate your in the same area and I promise you the Hilton is gonna care less about you this staff really goes out of their way to accommodate you personal meals made to your needs it's 2 blocks from a deli pharmacy (I recommend bringing iboprofin) and a bus to Prisma next trip I'm sneaking by for a layover and finally seeing the beach side till we meet again Coby & Bob.

Outstanding owner and staff at Casa Lima! Made my entire experience so fun and comforting. Absolutely on top of every request or perceived need and went so far as advising (plus arranging) a last minute 4:15am Saturday ride to the Airport at 10pm the evening before as I was checking out just to be 1, 000% sure I would reliably arrive in time for my early departure flight! They also set me up for a full day rainforest ecological tour with a superb guide, Arturo, who I will call on again in the future, Thanks So Much for being so great and welcoming! Especially Susie, too! Muchas Gracias!

Casa Lima is really wonderful and one of the best hostels I have stayed in. One feels the love for nature, animals y la pura vida! If you like a quiet neighborhood a little bit outside of San José's downtown, you will be bedded very comfortable. I wish you guys all the best!

Great place to stay in San Jose. Rooms were very clean, comfortable and we'll maintained. Staff is very friendly. Treat you like family. Has a restaurant but, we didn't try it. Smelled good though. Has a little bar area where you can bring your own drinks and hang out. Just a few blocks from the US embassy. Posted a couple pics of the interior. Full of lush plants.

A pretty B&B with a great staff in a quiet, cozy neighborhood. I felt completely safe on my afternoon walks. My room was simple, but more than adequate. Delicious meals are moderately priced. I wish I had the time to try more of the menu items. Their garden should be on a list of attractions for CR. Lush and beautiful, active and friendly koi and turtles invite you to come a little closer. Bird habitats (you can't call that a cage) and more fish tanks than I could count are doted over by owner Nelson, who redefines the notion of caring and cheerful service. I cannot recommend Casa Lima strongly enough! I feel like I have made new friends ;)

My partner and I very much enjoyed our 2 stays here! The hotel team are friendly and so helpful. The entire team treat you like family, making you feel right at home from the minute you arrive! :) highly recommend it here.

Location is very ok, but it was a good room and the people who work here are exceptionally hard working and personable. They speak perfect english and went out of their way to help us, and the advice they gave us was a huge help in finding our way around costa rica :) 5 STARS!

My experience here was awesome! Nelson the owner took great care of me. This is a family owned business and it feels that way as well. From the husband taking my food order to the wife cooking my food and to the son delivering my food it was a family affair. I was in Costa Rica to get some dental work done and the dentist office recommended this place. I was truly surprised at how helpful Nelson was with the dentist. He took me to and from three dental appointments which saved me lots of taxi fares. He also dropped off and picked up my prescriptions for me after my surgery without bothering me at the time for payment. He also checked in on me at least once a day after surgery. They also have their own little restaurant here as well that serves breakfast and then pasta and pizzas for lunch and dinner. This was really convenient for my first few meals being that I was on foot and just getting acclimated. Their home made milk shakes came in very handy after my surgery since I could only take cold liquids. Nelson also helped me make my travel plans and gave me some good suggestions. It was about $58.00 a night pre-tax and about $65.00 a night after taxes for a nice sized room, sizable bed, full bathroom, refrigerator, television and it came with a continental breakfast of juice, coffee, bread and fruit. One other great thing is was a few blocks from the US embassy so I felt very safe and secure. Lastly, the place seemed to be being cleaned all the time.

This place rocks! The owners speak perfect English, and are more than eager to answer any questions while visiting Costa Rica. They also have all kinds of wildlife including parrots and other birds, squirrels, coy with small fountain and a monkey named Kiko. You'll truly enjoy your stay.
